BRIDGE, supposedly, is the new DEI. It's the "we don't need a DEI department because everyone will be a true believer or else" thing, supposedly.

I suspect that like all leftists they're vastly overestimating their support and since they don't human very well they're going to end up overstepping, but who knows?
Another one still floating around, at least at my job, is IDEA. I had to stifle a laugh in our orientation when the first comparison our IDEA director (who constantly referred to it as DEI during the meeting) made was the usual "look at the different foods we get to eat" nonsense.

Sometimes I feel bad for her, knowing that her entire job revolves around trying to prove her job is necessary, but then I remember we'd be better off if these people and their ideology were mocked and derided until silence or suicide.

the only thing I ever feel bad about these people is that they deny themselves the light of God. Otherwise, screw em. they would line you up against the wall and shoot you and your family for the good of their father, Karl Marx.

DNC union launches GoFundMe to help former staffers hit by massive layoffs after election losses

The fundraising effort comes less than a week after the DNC announced its wave of layoffs Wednesday night

The union representing members of the Democratic National Committee launched a GoFundMe to raise money for staffers who were abruptly laid off last week – prompting backlash from those still on the DNC payroll who have described the cuts as a "betrayal" of party values.

The GoFundMe created by the DNC union seeks to raise $25,000 to assist staff impacted by the layoffs following their losses in the 2024 election.

Members of the DNC staff union said on the fundraising page that the abrupt wave of layoffs had included two-thirds of DNC staffers, who were let go with little notice and with "no severance."

Last week, 2/3 of DNC staff was laid off with little notice and no severance. We are heartbroken to see our colleagues—who dedicated countless hours to electing Democrats up and down the ballot—depart under these circumstances, and we are furious with DNC leadership for failing to provide severance to those affected.

As such, we are creating a relief fund which will directly aid staff members, including single parents and workers expecting children, impacted by the recent layoffs. The funds raised will be distributed equally to any laid-off member who opts in to receive funds. We hope these funds can soften the economic blow for those impacted.

We want to be clear: the funds raised from this GoFundMe are not a replacement for the severance we are still fighting for on behalf of our colleagues.

This fund is overseen by current and former DNC Staff Union leaders, who pledge to make the administration of this account transparent. For questions or concerns, reach out to us.

In solidarity,
The DNC Staff Union

Glad to see that unionization is working out great! Also, kudos to the DNC for getting the downsizing process started.

I too think Gaetz has something up his sleeve. No way he is just gently stepping down from Congress to vanish into the night. He's got a plan for something I'm sure. I just have no clue what.
Current rumor is that he will be a special prosecutor (who the Dems have proven don't need senate approval) to look into the financial misconduct of various congress critters (they are all guilty).

Which would be a amazing hammer to hold over any one that doesn't go with the Trump/MAGA agenda. Oh, trying to stall the MAGA agenda? Okay, were going to investigate how the fuck you made so much money on a 250k a year salary.

That would be such a fucking downgrad.
Gaetz going for Gov. is hardly a downgrade! While most Gov positions aren't as singularly powerful as the President, they're still either the explicit heads or the general matchmakers of their State's executive branch, and usually the most notable party presence. If this election should have taught us anything it's that State positions are MORE important than Federal positions. We were meant to be a bottom-up ran country, we must utilize this legal capability to it's fullest, as seen in various battleground states and even fucking California.

I hope Trump gives him some of that plot armor. Fucking with the wealthy and powerful's money is a good way to catch high velocity lead poisoning.

Who woulda thought that the party of corporate ghouls would kick most of its workers to the curb once they stopped being useful? Trump naming a pro-union lady as Labor Sec could be huge, if he brings unions in to the Party the Dems have nothing left but rich White women. Even Black ladies are giving up based on another article on here, they have nothing.

Also, Bloodborne and the first half of the original Dark Souls are the only good Soulsborne, the rest is just chasing that sense of discovery, wonder, and accomplishment with Giant Knight Boss #37 or über-gimmicky boss fights and areas.

Its cute Mexico thinks they have a choice here. If they do this Trump will just put a 50% tax on any cash money following from the US to Mexico.

The thing I was called conspiracist might actually have some credence. Covid was a manufactured money pump for pharma just like the rampant Troon problem we see now. Dismantle all three letter agencies.
Pretty soon pajeets are going to get banned from any high level position much like the gays where back in the 50s.

He should do that anyways, every stupid wetback spic, stupid African, smelly pajeet or drunk ukranian who comes here and sends money back should be giving the United States the same amount.

Has there been any other president-elect that can influence foreign policy like this just by shouting from the sidelines? We had China stop their car factory in Mexico, we have some international corps already planning on building some factories in the US, we have the XL pipeline starting up discussions again, we have cease fire being more seriously discussed in Ukraine and Palestine. He isn't even in office yet but it feels like things are already moving forward.

All Trump has to do is threaten to release all the FBI/DEA/CIA/NSA/State Department files on how the government in Mexico is compromised up to the very top by the cartels. Which everybody already knows is true but acts like it isn't because the shitstorm would be too messy. This time around what does Trump care how big a mess it would cause for the Mexicans? At least that should be what he makes the Mexicans think...
