Saw this thumbnail on YouTube. Just like old Tupperware in the fridge, I know there's some rancid shit if I dare to open it.

YouTubers like these are just as bad as, if not worse than, journofags. This is "... and that's a good thing" levels of smug annoyance.

No, having things constantly shoved in your face on repeat is NEVER okay. Being subtle winds up being more funny and memorable, especially if its backed up by good writing and storytelling... something that almost all of these companies lost a long time ago.

EDIT:

This year will mark the first time EVER that Teen Titans Go! has taken up the entire Cartoon Network schedule for a week straight. The only other year that comes close is 2017.
So does that mean Teen Titans Go! is officially the "Spongebob Squarepants" of Cartoon Network?

Ironically, early SpongeBob is a perfect example of what you're talking about in the first portion of your post. People often forget that a lot of early SpongeBob's humor WAS subtle.

Hell, one of the episodes of the first season was straight up a riff on EDGAR ALLEN POE, of all people:

this is why the early seasons of SpongeBob are still talked about and memed with to this very day, over 20 years later, while pandering bullshit like Moon Bitch is scrubbed from the collective public consciousness

Moon Bitch
That instantly made me wanna see a mark millar ized version of moon girl where she's now older and a spiteful, angry, literal bitch who doesn't take shit from anyone and only thinks about herself. Based on spider bitch from old man logan.

Though frankly I think that's not too far off from what she's like now, just minus the sailor mouth.

And speaking of spider family and yes I'm Hella late on this TAS turned 30 this month. And yes in perspective the character himself was 32 when the show premiered and now said show is over 30 while the character is 62 years old...well parker age is only a state of mind right?....right?

Aww here's the theme

Watching Pantheon right now. Partway through season 2. You can tell there was some effort put into this, but it's so bogged down by forced drama. One second the main brat wants to kill her dad, then she wants to save him, and then he's killed anyway for her to cry out in rage. Not to mention the Pajeet going complete fucking retard near the end of the first season. Never mind all the little woke tidbits (a negress astronaut being the American military's first pick, the breadwinning chick with a soyboy starving artist for a husband, the main character being a teenage girl who is le epic tech side-kick yet still acts like an idiot, the internet-fearing red-neck in fucking Sacramento of all places, and that communism bullshit.).

Pacing is so rushed too. Can't ever just let things build. To pull off what they wanted to do, they needed twice the run time for each season. Its flaws are adding up to the point I want to drop it rather than finish it.

When I first watched Pantheon, I actually kind of liked it if nothing else but for the art style. Then, when I picked up on a lot of the shit you just mentioned (as well as the main character being an absolute retard), as well as the main guy character speaking like a sperg, I realized that, holy shit, this show is terrible. Not only that, by the Second Season, everyone basically wants to commit suicide in order to send a copy (A COPY) of themselves into cyberspace. The plot becomes even more retarded when you go all the way into the end. The main character's son desperately wants to kill himself because he claims his grandpa was calling him.

There is so much potential at the beginning, even with the cringey ass bullying nonsense. Hell, the plotline with Caspian could be its own series. But it just wastes it on winging about the ramifications without actually going into vivid detail. For fuck's sake, the internet is down in the second season globally and the worst people are going through is their own paranoia. They have the most advanced programs have anime fights with each other to pad time. Pajeet going full retard killed the subtle paranoia around the companies or other people finding out. It's like Arcane before the second season came out except worse.

I'm glad I dropped it. Holy shit, that's retarded.

I heard that Arcain season 2 was underwhelming.
Has anyone seen it? Also is the first season good? I've heard nothing but praise for season 1.

The first season's good. It's only phenomenal if you're not used to anything western animated being good. Solid plot and characters, albeit with some plot lines that needed a few more details to feel natural in relation to their importance.

I have heard 2 has time-travelling multiverse cancer nonsense on top of a whole lot of other glaring red flags, and I have no intention of ever watching it.

The first season was great. One of my favorite things about it is it wasn't Le rich people pure evil. One rich person worked with the main character and had good intentions. Another aspect I liked was how they didn't go full ACAB by actually having there be good cops despite corruption in law enforcement. In one episode the enforcers risked their lives by running into a burning building because they heard a little girl crying for help.

Season 2 was rushed to the point of characters going through arcs that went so fast it became character assassination. The fight scenes also went through a massive downgrade and were filled with ridiculous luck and characters seemingly teleporting just so certain things could happen. Quite a few people are praising it but I'm already seeing those types beginning to turn on it.

Let's not forget one infamous episode!

I need this scene tatooed in the back of my brain. Barry Lyndon of western animated series.

Saw many people here talking about Teen Titans Go, so just a reminder that the greatest comedy that CN has ever produced is Chowder and it still holds up very well after 15 years since I watched it for the first time. Teen Titans Go came out when I was 11 and even at that age I didn't like it.

First season is great, second season is ok but a bit rushed, still has some good scenes. They really amp up the whole 'arcane' aspect of it in season 2 fairly quickly.
All of it looks gorgeous visually.
Bit heavyhanded on the lesbian shit sometimes, but overall watching it isn't a waste of time imo, especially as it's not that long.

Also godddd I wish I saved it but I've saw someone on threads who's convinced the reason season 2 was rushed was because of 'rewrites' because more focus on the piltover-zaun conflict that was expected would've been too reminiscent of israel-palestine lmao

So I just saw Memoir of a Snail and I thought it was really good!

I'm hoping this gets recognition of some kind cause I'm sick of the bigger studios getting grandfathered into having quality and mass appeal.
That being said I don't think it's as good as Mary and Max, and in retrospect it has a little too much of that movie in its DNA, meaning simply it feels like there isn't much to enjoy about this movie that Mary and Max doesn't do better. That might not be a fair comparison but it stuck out to me through much of the run time. You can even predict certain beats are going to happen if you've been paying attention. I.E. a lot of good stuff has been happening to the main character so something tragic is about to happen in the next 5 minutes. It even has a moment from Mary and Max that goes verbatim the same way.

But all that considered I'm happy to have a new stop motion movie with deep adult themes and I hope this movie does well.
