I remember clicking through from her Insta to her blog, where she described the trauma of losing her dad at a young age. It wasn’t until then that I realised she was a true and honest munchie.

This also must have been the era of Kelly Ronahan and her mysterious blood disorder, rocking up at the hospital for her regular blood transfusions and doing ballerina moves with drip stands. They were innocent times.

Her original munch of choice was severe asthma and anaphylaxis to everything. But that didn’t get her enough attention so she switched her focus to cyclical vomiting and needing tube feeding because so malnourished (despite remaining overweight). Then it was seizures and then she pretty much fell off the face of the earth for a while - or so I thought!

The exception being opiate overdoses who usually perk right up (and want to punch you in the face) from GCS 3 after naloxone is administered. You’d have to tie them down to get them to stay until the next day. But Nicole probably isn’t a user, so yeah, she’s lying.

KFS already covered the Meggie and MS thing, but I'd also been watching that one with interest and wanted to chime in. The whole hospice saga was drawn-out, and they literally had home hospice merch. It was very exploitative; she (they? not sure how much the husband was consciously in on it vs being the usual clueless munchie manservant) preyed on her followers.

Also interesting: by the time she was in hospice, she'd made it difficult to tell why, exactly, she was in hospice. She talked a lot about the VUS (which she didn't refer to as such, of course) and had removed MS from her list of diseases in her Instagram bio:

She updated in her Instagram stories very, very frequently over a long period of time, though she was supposedly only going to have 4-5 weeks to live after entering hospice. Food and drink continued to appear intermittently, and there was an endless parade of friends, family, and caretakers.

The whole thing just felt really grimy. Hospice is a touchy and upsetting subject for most people who've had contact with it. It means your friend or loved one doesn't have much time left. And, yes, some people do hold on for longer than expected, but Meg was supposedly abstaining from all food and most oral liquid intake. This lasted the better part of the year, with her shilling merch all the while and speaking into the camera, visibly thin and with a quaking voice.

Maybe it just hit a sore spot with me, but the whole thing was kind of a drawn-out spectacle.

Oh you're not alone. I genuinely do not think she really intended to die. From when she announced it was over to when she finally shuffled off to Buffalo I thought she was going to pull some miracle save that would let her back out of the hospice saga. Either they'd find a new treatment for her or the fact that she was the only person in the whole wide world with her specific leukodystrophy/her very special MS/the other things I didn't even mention she claimed meant no one knew what her life expectancy was and it turns out she's not dying. Especially in the first few months where she was claiming to be too sick to respond to messages but visibly fucking thriving, making her followers plant sunflowers for her if they couldn't come wait on her in person.

I totally believe her original goal was to cash in all that clout from her "little sisters" as a test of loyalty, see who showed up and who would rub her feet and bring her gifts, then decide she wasn't dying after all, maybe get to keep all her fun drugs on the other side. And i think the kidney failure blindsided her since they made more than one update to say her kidneys were still going strong. No one's giving a hospice patient dialysis. The point is to die.

It got to me for the same reason I find faking cancer to be an especially heinous lie. Most of us have experienced watching someone die slowly, whether it was in hospice or the middle of an attempt to save them because they weren't ready to admit it was the end. The girls who constantly bring up hospice know exactly what emotions they're preying on when they do that. I briefly thought perhaps some good would come of it and another one of these girls would decide to put off her own avoidable death after watching Meg croak but no, they're all masturbating over it.

Thus the grave dancing. Fuck off.

Now it's all children claiming every diagnosis under the sun, refusing to work, and spending money they don't have on crap they don't need.

But she got fired because her mean boss wouldn't accommodate her and was spreading lies about her. And she's polyamorous and mentally ill, but I'm repeating myself. I really hope you're right. But what a man lets a muncher do, is have a child to continue abusing - just now at less personal cost. Eating disorders also relax while women are pregnant, and that can be a permanent remittance, but they can also flare right back up when their daughters approach puberty. The job thing is a much better sign than usual though! Fingers crossed!

It'd be really interesting to follow women that do quit this behaviour and see what factors are the most protective. Eating disorders can be predictable as a form of female-perpetrated family violence, with the perpetrator's goal being to focus all family efforts (especially mom's) onto supporting the poor sick sufferer at the cost of the rest of the family unit. It would seem intuitive that families that fail to feed into munchie dramatics, and healthcare systems that accurately and consistently label perpetrators as factitiously disordered, might actually be able to help perpetrators of this most effectively by preventing them from receiving any positive reinforcement. On the other hand, once munchers get into the healthcare system, the staff themselves start providing this reward and the behaviour continues until they kill themselves. It's really interesting to have this problem that on the surface, looks like a healthcare issue... but if you use healthcare to treat it, you make it worse.

Aside from posting about her professionally diagnosed (allegedly?) autism, she didn’t discuss any kind of chronic illness prior to 2024.

In Late May of 2024, Eden began speaking about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome out of the
blue. She began claiming symptoms that she had not spoken of previously, doing common
“party tricks” that can be seen in individuals claiming EDS, and heavily implying or even insisting
that she has EDS.
Despite a fruitless rheumatologist appointment, she has continued on, and even now
continues malingering. She has purchased multiple mobility aids despite her lack of diagnosis.
She is determined to seek said diagnosis, but there are hints that she is doubtful she will be
able to retrieve one.

She’s flexible, so that means she definitively has EDS. Not only does she now have EDS, but she has the super rare munchie variant, hEDS (hypermobile EDS).
This is notably the only kind of EDS that doesn’t have a quantitative diagnostic process (i.e. a blood test) and is diagnosed through self-reported symptoms as well as physical evaluation. How convenient.
