Avowed - Obsidian's new game, like Pillars of Eternity meets Elder Scrolls

It was hardly a game per say, but Pentiment was fantastic. Read through that over the course of two days and had trouble putting it down and I can't recommend it enough.
Obsidian needs a AAA company to make a indie level story game...
Only to be out sold by Disco Elysium, that was made by a retarded commie and his drunk friends.
Obsidian is a joke.

Did Obsidian ever made a good non-complete-shit game. even once?!
Every game they make is unfinished, more buggy then a Bethesda games, gay-loaded shit.
Every bad guy is so cartoon evil, Disney telling them to slow down.
Every women is a slut to anyone but the player.

Why do people still play their "games"?!

Going by at least the ones I played:

KOTOR 2: Very decent followup to KOTOR. The story is good, but sometimes really straddles the line between being an interesting take on the Force and the Star Wars equivalent of le enlightened centrist. The ending portion was pretty damn rushed, which was a shame, since at least going by the restoration mods, it could have been pretty interesting.

Alpha Protocol: This one I definitely stand by. While the gameplay portion could have definitely used some refining (Stealth in particular), the story is solid and has quite a bit of replayability.

Fallout NV: The only decent Fallout that exists this side of the Bethesda acquisition. It definitely has flaws, but it stands head and shoulders above any other Fallout Bethesda made by a wide margin, especially considering the shitty game engine and the very short time frame.

Pillars of Eternity: I tried playing this one 2-3 times and dropped it out of sheer boredom every single time. The story would have been called generic even in the 90s, the characters were completely flat and the gameplay was nowhere near as good to carry the game.

Tyranny: Basically an improved version of PoE. While the game starts really well, it was rushed like hell, to the point you can almost feel the crunch around the second half onwards. The ending is so sudden I thought the game was bugged the first time I played.

Overall, they had some decent games back in the day, but as far as I am concerned, I am definitely not buying any more games just based on the "Developed by Obsidian" tag.

I never understood the point of those images. Obsidian has more than 100 employees, so those might be the only women and faggots there and the 90+ everyone else is white/asian programmer, but then why exclude those people as if it's Soviet Russia? If I had worked there I would have felt insulted that those people were chosen to represent the team.
to show how diverse and open-minded they are
you should know the deal by now

I'll stand by Alpha Protocol too. Probably the only good Obsidian original. Pillars had so many damn problems from its setting to the most overly balanced gameplay where it didn't matter if your greatsword dealt a ton of damage between swings when a rapier or another fast weapon would do the same throughout the same timeframe. And don't get me started on fucking Tyranny. From every character being a retard in some way, the conflict between two different brands of retard, and the equally retarded local factions. Holy shit. I am not exaggerating when I say the amount of intelligent characters in that game can be counted on one hand. You are surrounded by idiots, and they had to patch in the ending where you aren't a complete retard who goes to war with the living god who can do what you need a bunch of towers to do at will.

I'm glad none of us so far have admitted to playing Outer Worlds because that'd be embarrassing.

Pillars has the most boring combat but i will stand behind its story and quests. PoE2 on the other hand is utter shit.
I really liked the theme of Tyranny, shame it was underdeveloped. I really like bronz age to late ancient age rpg games. Age of Decedance is the only other game that uses that as the core of a setting, if there are any other games like that i would love to play it.

I remember having fun with the bounty missions and the mega dungeon that's beneath your keep for some retarded reason. Story? Eh. It tried something reserved for the finale of a trilogy that setup the world and the importance of animancy or soul magic or whatever it was and the gods. I could not give a shit about your own supposed past life that really doesn't matter at all.

A shame Colony Ship didn't perform that well. I really liked its setting and gameplay, but it lacked the same diverting paths AoD did, for worse a little more than better. I would've appreciated if you worked for the main factions all throughout the story than just one lesser faction then another until you got to the big ones.

Iron Tower studio did make Dungeon Rats which used same setting as AoD.

There are couple upcoming games with bronze age trappings from unproven developers, The Way of wrath and Aletheia: Return of Odysseus.
Besides that only title that comes to my mind is Theseus; Journey to Athens.
