Hey, remember the pilot, how cool it was and superior to Hazbin Hotel? Yeah, we do too. But fuck it, we ain’t doing that - we’ve got constant gay clarifications of relationships now and Blitz is having occasional emo tantrums.

I haven't watched this show in around 3-4 years. I wasn't sure if this show was still good or if it fell off, and I didn't feel like watching the show again, so I decided to skim the highlights in order to see how the show turned out.

Both Hazbin and Helluva haven't gotten a theme song. Hazbin has like a ten second intro before the episode starts, but that's not a theme song. Helluva does have a theme song but it was never used again after the pilot. But since the show isn't about IMP anymore, kind of make sense not to use the theme song.

Who would have thought? Expanding on a character makes them worse. Only in a Vivziepop show I tell you.

It's funny because, in season 1, it makes sense for Verosika to be a bit of a bitch. Both times Blitzø was the instigator and invaded her space. First time, was because Blitzø wanted his stupid parking space (I forgot that they work not only in the same building but also across from each other until I saw Ghostfuckers...that must be awkward. Second time...well, everyone else was shitting on Blitzø at the club; might as well join in on the fun.

Yes, it still is a bit petty, but it wasn't like she was actively trying to find ways to shit on Blitzø. He just happens to come across her way, which then brings up bad memories, so she naturally responds to them.

In season 2, she is so obsessive and constantly thinking about Blitzø that she invites people the day after they break up with him (even if they weren't in a relationship with him) to an anti-Blitzø party. It's not even just a general ex's party; it's specifically to hate on Blitzø. Girl, if his dick ain't good, why are you focused on it this much?

And then she tries to be altruistic about it with "I'm just trying to help the people you hurt". If anything, she's making it worse. Instead of helping these people move on, like they should, she's pushing them to linger on these negative feelings and bond together over there mutual hatred for one singular guy, which isn't healthy. Like, is Blitzø seriously the worst person these people have interacted with? Can't exactly argue with Blitzø when he says that this is Hell and everyone is a shitty person. That's pretty much true for the majority.

And it wouldn't be so bad if the show portrayed this as being as unhealthy as it is. But it doesn't. They're clearly trying to show Verosika is in the right here. Especially when she tells Blitzø to let Stolas go, and wish the bird good look and hope he gets laid. Shouldn't you be doing that Verosika?

Well, I guess I can say this; Blitzø seems to have a thing for hypocrites.

Can't exactly argue with Blitzø when he says that this is Hell and everyone is a shitty person. That's pretty much true for the majority.

I actually kinda have beef with that phrase, but my beef is that. Okay, if this phrase was used when Boss and Hazbin were in pilot stages, it has more ring and impact. Now however? This is the most toothless and safe version of Hell ever. Infact, I'll go further and say that MLP had more balls than Viv does.

It's because any character who shows sympathies or wants to help Stolas has to always be in the right because the bird boy can never be wrong whatsoever.

Stolas is like a walking virus in the show, anyone or anything he's involved have to revolve themselves to defend or validate him.

It's like he's a borderline Gary Stu and all of Season 2 is just his delusions made manifest.

I guarantee Octavia is going to hate Stolas over misunderstandings or be manipulated by the evil Stella and her gay brother to hate him cause he did nothing wrong

Apparently Vivziepop did not have oversight here, and Joel Perez, Valentino’s voice actor, has been getting snippy with people.

This is why most studios don't let VAs get involved with fanwork; to avoid shit like this happening. Neither professional or an indie show gets this personal with their fans, and there is good reason why. The Hazbin/Helluva fandom is truly one of a kind, and this is coming from someone who knows about the Sonic fandom.

As for the initials, my ass missed that completely. I almost want to chalk it up to an reused assets, but knowing this show, as stated before, canon means zilch, and I guess she’s working across the hall from Blitzo‘s company now, and I just need remember to do a soft reset every episode because who knows what they decide to remember when they write, and who knows what they decide to throw the fuck out.

Viv, that's not very progressive of you to have a stereotypical gay relationship with the masculine top and feminine bottom. Is Viv just afraid of masculine men falling in love with one another? I don't think either of her shows has two masculine men dating or going to be dating in the future.

It's kinda like a fujo tornado. Blitzo's perpetual victim status and self pity are the cold front, Stolas being portrayed as completely rght in every horrible decision he makes are the warm front. Together they just ruin everything else in the show, while all the other characters can barely get out of the way.
