Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

Don't know if season 2 is similar in that sense (need to check that out some time), but while the anime has a general premise each episode is pretty much vastly different from each other and you'll never know what you're going to get.
Season 2 is pretty similar, there's a bit of loose continuity but it doesn't adhere to it or go melodramatic like Helluva Boss.

Of course this is as of the third episode of season 2 airing recently

That's because they fired those fatsos Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi.
The fact they are fat will never cease to amuse me.
It would be totally based if Viv had Octavia kill Blitz and nobody can convince me otherwise.
It would be interesting if Rogers were "fine" with having his OC to be killed. Since he's the punching bag and suddenly...? But alas, untouchables!

you ever think about how Charlie's full demon form is made out to be such a big deal, to the point she actually gets first blood on Adam, and then he just... knocks her out with one barely-serious punch, and basically manhandles her until Lucifer shows up?
female focused show btw

To be fair, I like that because Adam IS an angel.
This image really made me realize just how much excessive red the Hazbin cast has.
Pilot Charlie being superior once again.

It's still red but not reddish enough to be blend in with the other characters, also shows that despite living in hell, she's not as evil as the rest of the cast.

I'm not an graphic designer, and yet I somehow know this shit.

I'd be hard pressed to say she's evil at all. The pink looks better on her with her blonde hair. Her character reminds me of Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec, whose unrelenting positivity was played for laughs. In terms of Hellaverse protagonists, she's more annoying than Blitzø, which is a feat in and of itself.

Sure, though one would've still expected something much more I dunno... powerful and/or menacing-looking? At least in the presentation? Instead it just looks hilariously weak as shit; like they're just average adult animation people rather than these scarily powerful, supernatural beings.

I’ve been wanting to say this for a while, it is unbelievable how they fumbled Charlie’s design for the series when they already had this one that was good, if not great. The character is cute, the colors are pleasing. If I was forced to see more of this, I would want to look at it (General rule for characters I have: If you have to look at it for 2+ hours, make sure its nice to look at.) but for some reason they updated it a bright red that honestly is hard to look at, not just because of blending in with other characters, but because it starts to hurt the eyes after a couple of minutes. I don’t know who suggested the change, but just put them side by side and it should have been obvious which was better.

That's how you know Blitz is a wish fufilment character: He has scores of bedmates and partners who loved him so much that they dedicated the remainder of their unending lives to worshipping him. Him, an annoying, shrieking clown who can't go 2 seconds without a sex joke or crying about his self inflicted problems.

I hate Blitzo anyway so that episode in particular just kinda crystalized it and made my reasons much more solid.
Apology Tour is a great example of this where Blitzo apologizes a lot to the people he's wrong yet it doesn't stick, and Stolas dates another dude but it doesn't stick.

Theres also Sinsmas which makes a big deal about Blitzo sparing a gay father with his new husband cause he sees himself in him which by itself I guess could be the start of a character arc but then he kills a dude who has adopted orphaned children without thinking despite seeing the crying orphans.
What compels you people to keep watching this? Every time I check this thread it's like watching people stab themselves with forks and complain about how sharp it is. Is there something that makes it worth it?

The thing is that Adam is presented more of a "battle mage" in a big robe casting spells and swinging an axe, so for him to fucking bare knuckle punch Charlie (who's holding a weapon) with his lanky arm makes her look more pathetic than normal, as if you watched someone get punched by gandalf.

Charlie simply gets slapped, lands a stab while he's distracted, Adam no sells it and instantly disarms her. Girl is a worse fighter than Alastor but managed to escape fraud watch.

Mild PL but the "gentler take on the Moxxie brain damage" art I posted that was rightly mocked a while ago finally made me curious enough to check out HB after all this time. I just wanted to know more about the characters, especially Moxxie and Millie.

Say what you will about this lunacy, I contend that brain-damaged Moxxie is only slightly more helpless than canon Moxxie.

I don't know whether to laugh or feel sad?

Sunk Cost Fallacy for me, plus the show genuinely used to be good.

Besides it's fun to talk about

Having a loved one being reduced to the mental equivalent babbling toddler isn't something you can make cute or touching, especially if it's a spouse. You are now not only deprived of someone you love dearly, but you're now anchored to a shambling parody of them. Good thing Moxxie wasn't the sole breadwinner!

Give him short term memory loss, make him mute, or blind, anything but being reduced to a dribbling retard!

With how people view mentally retarded people as kids who can't consent. How long will people jump to Pedophilla.

Honestly, it’s like having a lens to view everything wrong in modern story telling with a trifecta (bad morally, thematically, and technically). It’s like a slow motion train wreck. You know you shouldn’t be seeing it, let alone pay attention to it, in fact there have been other train wrecks that you’ve haven’t turned your head towards, but this particular train wreck is so fascinating, so much collateral damage is happening, things are bending in such a way and parts are flying so far into the distance, that you can’t look away.

This insinuates that I hate talking about the show and I personally don't, I like talking and discussing it, I just don't think it's particularly well made.

I got sucked into the fandom in 2019, when things were still very exciting as this was one of the first major indie animation productions to rack up millions of views. The falloff from its initial potential was brutal. Yeah it's pretty much sunk cost fallacy at this point. That and I kinda like watching/reading critiques of it so I can get better at my own writing. The animation is very pretty and I actually kind of like Viv's style (though a lot of the character designs do suck) so it isn't too hard for me to keep watching both shows.
