Warframe

DE are playing with fucking fire right now. If they plan to release the update during the Game Awards, we're going to have a Railjack 2.0 situation where everything is fire and no one is around to put it out. Otherwise, they are releasing a massive update before the holidays and we already know how that goes. I seriously do not understand what is going on with DE if they plan to release this any later than the first half of the following week.

The 1999 ARG has been solved. Go here if you want to try it for yourself: https://www.warframe.com/1999/doktorentrati
If you've been wondering about the messages on the kinepage related to pizza ads, bike ads, the subway incident, etc, they are related to this.

Otherwise, here is a google doc that goes over how it was solved

The reward is nothing major,
an in game On-Line poster.
If you want it,
go here https://www.warframe.com/promocode and use this code that was earned from the arg: TH3GR8D3SP41R . You'll get a message in game with the poster.

The final page on the arg also has a progress bar and multiple messages asking the one investigating the computer to spread the signal, so here we are. I'm sure the progress bar is probably controlled by DE, but who knows. On the assumption that the progress bar is actually influenced by the number of participants, here is a quick post on how to participate:

Devstream in just over 3 and a half hours. The twitch drop is a random, composite tauforged archon shard. There is also going to be some type of update to the ARG, since getting all the codes in unlocked a timer to the devstream. As is usual, the first half will probably be nearly unwatchable due to how disorganized and lame it is, then Pablo will show up halfway through to start talking about gameplay changes and then the stream becomes awesome.

I'm trying to make Ash work. It's not going well so far. He's my first and only subsume, and even with Silence, he just feels clunky and inefficient.

This is what I use. Red archon shards for extra duration or ability strength. Make sure to put at least 50% attack speed on your melee, as well as Melee Crescendo (any rank) for permanent 12x combo.

Devstream 183 came and went and I had to go to sleep, so I'll have to glean info from people who did watch it:
  • The TGA announcement is thankfully not gonna be a simultaneous launch, but the announcement of 1999's release date.
  • Due to deadline crunch, the Technocyte Coda will have to wait until 2025 to be added. According to the devs, the Coda's not directly tied to 1999's main features, so the band will take some more time in the oven (pending player feedback) without impacting the update that much. This also means the Coda weapons will sit out 1999's release (though when they drop, you can get them from Rachel Lettie).
  • Speaking of 1999, the main quest for that will require players to complete The Duviri Paradox and The Lotus Eaters as prerequisites.
  • The "proper" reward for the ARG is... a new On-lyne song: The Great Despair. Also, we were played for fools; the "doktor" was actually Wally in disguise.
  • The devs confirmed Maj. Rusalka as a Gemini skin (as anticipated from leaks, though not for Saryn), and introduced her subordinate: Lt. Viktor Vodyanoi (whether or not he's a Gemini skin I'm not sure).
  • From the looks of things, the romance system appears fully optional. Complete bounties to earn "Chemistry", or just chat them up.
  • A new pseudo-PvP mode is gonna be added with 1999: Faceoff. It's pretty much race to see which squad completes a set of objectives first, and you can grant your team buffs or debuff the opposing team. Both teams get Conclave standing, with the winners getting an extra reward (subject to change). It'll be the main source of 1999 arcanes.
First off, I'll list off the changes to Nyx, then I'll give Cyte-09 the spotlight.
  • Nyx's passive's being changed from an enemy accuracy debuff to a crit chance buff for ranged weapons if at 5 confused enemies (either through her abilities or through rad procs I take it) are nearby.
  • Mind Controlled enemies now deal additional Radiation damage for more confusion amongst enemy crowds
  • Psychic Bolts will now leech enemy defenses to Nyx (armor/shields/overguard), and will now chain after hitting enemies. The Pacifying bolts augment will be reworked to add Radiation procs.
  • Tired of me mentioning Radiation damage? Too bad: Chaos now deals Radiation procs.
  • Absorb is now duration-based rather than channeled, and allows for any movement while it's active (via floating, so the Assimilate augment still has a use). Enemy infighting will now contribute to Absorb's damage, and after unleashing Absorb, Nyx gains a period of invulerability based on how much damaged was stored.
Next in line is Cyte-09. His abilities were already shown off in the 1999 promotional page, though we do get a couple more details:
  • His passive gives him a crit chance bonus for every weakpoint kill he makes, lasting for the entire mission (or if he has to use a revive).
  • His Helminth ability is Evade (become invisible for a duration, with kills healing the caster and extending the invisibility). I'm guessing the invis duration will take a hit, or the heal on kill is gonna be reduced if Evade is put on anyone else.

That's all, folks.

My build is fine. My issue is more how bad he feels to play, given his extremely short stealth duration, and the fact that in a fast-paced game where we're racing through a map, I have to stop, activate Silence, activate his 4, and then look around at every target in the room four times to mark them. Everything is dead from the other players before my ninjas can assassinate them. He just feels very clunky.

Cyte 09 I though was gonna blow based on the premise. But he looks like he is gonna very fun.

Oh, fair enough. Yeah, I only use him for endurance missions (level cap disruption or void cascade mainly).

70 something aya later I have the Sybaris and Baza Prime. I should've just bought them with plat at this point. I don't even want to think about the Aksomati right now. I don't even know if I can handle farming void traces or aya either. This game is rough sometimes.
