It goes along the lines of “Corruption!” despite the judge already being a political hack. Or “It doesn’t change the fact 12 jurors found him guilty!” Tell that to OJ Simpson’s trial. How are leftis reacting to the case being dismissed
Like whatever. There’s no forgiveness with TDS sufferers because they often don’t believe in forgiveness or absolution. That’s a western belief based in Christianity, something they dislike. Even the Old Testament required you to compensate someone for an offense to be let off the hook.
In 17th century England, if you stole over a dollars worth of goods, that was automatic hanging. And this led to people stealing far more than just 1 dollar, and the effort to curb theft backfired, and was then corrected with tiered punishments instead.
If you have no path for allowing mistakes, it’s basically law of the jungle. One mistake and you’re done, out, over. As I said above, this has a track record of having the opposite effect when it comes to discouraging certain behaviors; you may as well go all the way.
Today’s cancellation crowds are just polite lynch mobs. Oh sure they won’t kill you, they will just do everything besides that. And not just to you, but your family, distant family, people so much as tangentially related to you. And all the while they will tell you it’s your mom’s fault for having raised you, your wife was probably an accomplice, and your kids should be taken by CPS because you’re a dirty bigot.
Thank God I have never had to deal with a cancellation effort against myself. But now? Should it ever happen, there is finally enough steel in my spine that they will not win against me so easily.
