Every year, Jerry Springer used to bring out a big table onstage, cover it with Thanksgiving foods, and have a trailer trash family sit at it and talk about their problems until inevitably a food fight broke out. I miss Jerry Springer.

The point is, I'm really hoping for a good old fashioned Thanksgiving food fight. That would be lit. I'm afraid we're going to have a few days of CuddleTank instead. I think a lot of the staff are off duty over the holiday.

I know Frank is out of town, but he would be perfect for this. Franksgiving.

Binx just speculated that some reality tv shows fly family out for holidays like Thanksgiving. She hopes that they flight out even just one of her family members to be there. Lol

I hope the boys hire the first 65 year old gutterslut lot lizard to play her mom after a bit of build up to the reveal.

Atp Jet is shooting the revenue in the foot by coddling the girls. His own damn fault if they don't break even this time.
Thanks for the reminder! I totally forgot about that!!!!

Jet said that they barely broke even at the end of bloodgames. So that probably won't happen for sometime.

They just spent a ton of money flying people in, ubering them to the building, feeding them, paying for their day rate, and reimbursing their stuff that got wrecked. They also had to pay for hotel rooms to stay in waiting for flights tomorrow, all for 3 days' worth of mildly amusing content. That is not counting the cleaners they hired, the furniture they bought, or anything else they spent money on to prepare this failed experiment. (I would argue they also lost revenue from low TTS, SFX, and fishtoys on the days before Famoushouse 2.0) It's so dumb to say they can't do a 4.5 like Bloodgames again with how much money they burn on stupid shit during a regular season. If the wiggers are going to burn money they should at least burn it on something good, and come up with more ways to monetize or advertise. A lot of people didn't even know Bloodgames was a thing.

Jet and Ben invited Luke to B3 and they talked about the show for like 30 minutes. It was really chill and they sound like they're actually pretty good friends, Luke mentioned that he missed talking with Vance/Luca, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see him on future seasons. Burt eventually walked in and asked what was happening next and asked if they were bringing more people in which Jet said no.

Like others have said, I'm expecting some kind of bloodgames style multi-day finale, similar to how we had swamp games last season, but more refined since they experience from bloodgames. I wouldn't hate it but at the same time I don't think Binx or Payton have done anything to deserve an fun/easy win like that.
Anyone got a clip for those of us spending time with family instead of watching internet soap operas?

It would be so easy to monetize this show properly... you simply have the audience vote, and have every vote cost money. "But then paypigs/simps dictate the show!" I hear you say, as if that doesn't already fucking happen.

They already somewhat fixed that this season by making every audience vote 10 tokens and only allowing one vote per account. The problem is there have been almost no narrative polls that have mattered this season.

I mean I sympathize with their situation and this is a business at the end of the day and they kind of have to draw a line with profitability.

But having said that, while they did take a bold gamble with Famous House 2.0 but they shot themselves in the foot by going full retard/cranking the volume up to 38 and introducing so many new people so quickly as well as Jobe who had an ambiguous social position. They would've been far better off only having on like 6 people in the first day and letting things settle a bit. The downside of having so many people and Jobe is that they killed off cymbalta who I would argue was more interesting/content worthy than both Binx and Peyote combined (regardless of whether people think he should win or not)

Whatever the case, I have been suitably entertained almost this entire season. I don't really care about a dud day or two. But "suitably entertained" still doesn't equate to profitability. It kind of explains why it was either Sam or Jet saying to get rid of the "newfish" because of their day rates (I believe they were each paid at least $200 per day, which adds up quickly. Even though they have TTS and fishtoys that cost $500 you still need a lot of that shit to break even when you have so many people involved - and that doesn't even take into account paying for crew).

It will be interesting to see if they can turn fishtank into something profitable in the long term. Jet seems to be wanting to head towards a more mainstream audience and contestants (at least that is what people have indicated he has said at various times throughout this season) but mainstream audiences will probably not like stuff like Frank Hassle and Burt (and at the very least it means they will not be able to get mainstream advertisers). And with more viewers/becoming more mainstream come a lot more problems that are hard to lay out in a predictable fashion.

It seems that outside of the giant risk of introducing like 20 people at once which is expensive, they also rely on staples like Fatty who is divisive and IMHO is antithetical to having content happen (I don't hate the guy, but he evidently makes more than a few people want to turn off and stop watching completely).

They're probably going to have to really experiment with monetization options and perhaps make it PPV or something similar. $60 is a lot to ask in the current world economic climate and at that price point they may inadvertently turn away more people than they get (like if they reduced it down to $15 they might get way more people paying for it - but again, that's a bold gamble to make). One thing is very clear though, fishtank is an expensive show to run and is highly risky given the type of contestants and the type of show it is.

Beyond this specific season it is going to be really hard to see them top someone like Burt - and the consequences of having a schizophrenic dude who doesn't even know what the fuck is going on remain to be seen.
