If commies read their own ideology books they would understand that their own ideology is as antiquated as physiocratic economics.

The meaning of this quote has to do with dialectical materialism (the metaphysics used to justify communism) , ideas no matter if they are political ideologies, religions, philosophical systems... are not eternal truths like mathematics or physics.

The main problem with both capitalists and communists is that they don't take into account human selfishness and greed.

Capitalists think the economy can fix itself so long as it's left alone, not realizing that capitalism is a game with winners and losers, and the winners tend to concentrate more power into their hands since they're the ones making money and buying up rival businesses that failed, creating a society with a wealthy few at the top who just lucked out, and a massive poor working class who sacrifice life and limb for scraps.
