I don't really compare the two. In 2016 we got Trump the shitposter who was a meme candidate to spit in the eye of the elite.
In 2024 we got Trump the statesman who is an actual hero who is ready to put everything on the line to fix the US. They are both magical in their own way.

I honestly thought that there was no way trump could win in 2024. I had resigned to that fact up until about 1 or 2 weeks before the election. In a way I feel like I wasted all the chances I had to enjoy this election season because I simply tuned it out. 2016 was so great and I wished we could have a repeat and when we did I ignored it all and missed it. Oh well.

It's Phobia Indoctrination. Take a controlled group, like Transsexuals, or Latinos, where you can isolate them from outside information. Could have pulled the move my cousin's mexican (legal, been here since he was born over three decades ago) and just told my very liberal aunt that it was a small price to pay for all his other good policies. She didn't take it well at all. I remember being my normal peacekeeping self and told him later "she was calling you a beaner with her eyes, did you see that?" All in all it was a pretty cozy thanksgiving, mostly talkign about family stuff, politics came up once or twice but no big arguments as my family is all trump supporters aside from that aunt and a couple cousins.
