It's fun. Definitely has unsavories, but it's fun enough and isn't ultimately pervasive like on SS14.

I checked it out, it seemed good enough and I was checking out some cool shit like antags and the fact that you could chose alternative job titles in the character creation system.
That is until, that nigger Rshoe started to crash the server so I laid off and came back later to check the server only to be greeted with this:


I guess simply being on the game server of the NAUGHTY forum is enough to get bans like these, even as through they never had any "NO kiwifarmers" rules written.
It wasn't spamming the nigger word and acting like a greytider in general, they wouldn't even know if I had an actual account in here or not, just your presence simply in the chud server is enough, CHUD!

So I then checked out the Centcom ban system, it turns out that EVERYONE in that screenshot aside from Archinist is banned.
Including @geckogoy

To which I checked out my ban, there was another one which was basically "UHM, you just happened to log in after the server crashes multiple time... you're associated with the crash exploiter chud!!"

To which I checked out my ban, there was another one which was basically "UHM, you just happened to log in after the server crashes multiple time... you're associated with the crash exploiter chud!!"

oh nice, a SS14 kiwi server.
If only there was a 3D space station game, I'd love it. The closest that come to mind are either space engineers or Stationeers, but it's still a long way from being a Space Station 13 game.

SS14 has free movement, although things like machinery etc are still tile based.
SS14 allows you to build your own shuttle with free movement and has pretty good support for grids moving around. I have seen full like 100 player fleet battles with up to 30 ships participating without time dilation or lag for the most part.
SS14 lacks medical because the troon responsible for it refuses to get around to working on it and anyone else who attempts to make it is swatted down by said troons in the interim.
Someone has recently made "Shitmed" on their own in defiance of this which could promise to bring surgery to all of SS14
SS14 runs in C# instead of dreammaker
SS14 supports way better midis, infact you can upload a midi from your pc directly to the server and play it. and you can also play together in a band for more complex midis.

aside from surgery SS14 coders made it so that chem dispensers require manual refills of each chem which is an asspain. Medical not having surgery etc means that wound tending currently is just a matter of taking bicardine/antitoxin/epinepherine and bandaging yourself like in old old ss13 during the days of trekchem.
This will change on hullrot soon.

- Design decisions like intents or good inventory, while possible, will never happen because lack of any stable APIs in content or engine basically forces everyone to go along with retarded wizden decisions that are literally designed just to spite the playerbase
- No player collision because the guy that wrote physics (read: ported Box2D) is an Australian pedophile who wants to be able to groom boys at 500 ping. This one would require engine changes as it's hardcoded they cannot collide in engine.
- Clients can draw better lighting than BYOND and use shaders. Lack of serverside lighting means that several SS13 mechanics are unportable. But, the game technically has the potential to look better than SS13. As of now, it's much uglier mostly due to a lack of art direction. In clothes, everyone is a giant blob of vibrant clashing colors and out of clothes they're covered in top surgery scars and tattoos and since skin tones are all on sliders instead of a pre-set selection their doll itself is often also vibrant and clashing. This is the easiest to fix (well, aside from serverside lighting)
- 5 years after it started happening admins still have to teleport people out of walls multiple times a round. This is the main reason, actually, that admins are needed constantly. Admins often have to log on just to get players unstuck from walls. This isn't even caused by edge cases like space wind throwing you at mach 5, it's literally just from climbing on tables or dragging crates 90% of the time.

Damn if the lead developers were not so lazy they could just allow players to run an /unstuck command that checks to see if you are actually on an occupied tile that sends your ass to arrivals or the next nearby open tile on a large cooldown to prevent abuse. Ive only personally been stuck in a wall on hullrot once and that was slipping on chemicals in zero G.
