2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

No I'm pretty sure the goal is to retake Aleppo and then hook it up with Idlib again
Having to deal with constant bombardment, yeah, I think the operation will be limited. Syrians can keep up setting defensive lines while constantly getting aviation and missile launchers to do the work on the militants. I don't even know what the goal is like how the fuck can you keep holding onto the city having to deal with constant bombardment and no plans get rid of that, only to get the city retaken?

Despite the fact that the actions of Russian aviation in the rear of the militants inflict significant losses on them, this does not prevent the advance of the forward detachments, advancing in large columns of equipment across open terrain.

As a result, the mass flight of the Syrian army is compounded by the inability of the Russian Aerospace Forces’ bomber aircraft to inflict fire damage on moving targets due to organizational and technical reasons.

The first footage shows Russian Aerospace Forces strikes on a HTS group facility in Kafr Taal, while the next shows those same fearless columns of militants near Aleppo.

Maybe the easy rapid advance of the jihadi coalition should tell you something about just how much stuff they have and just how much stuff is available to the Russians and SAA to fight back with...

Yep, the Russians are extremely busy at the moment in Ukraine and will be until late January at the minimum.

Even then, they're not going to be surging forces into Syria to save Assad's ass AGAIN.

Same with Iran, they're very busy at the moment and will be for the near future.

It's not like the Ukrainians are dragging resources from NATO as well. Twitter still shows Russian aviation doing its work.
So does anyone think this might actually change the course of the war or just a slight change to the stalemate we have seen?
If they are not going to Damascus than they are going to have to hold onto to Aleppo from aviation and artillery bombardment, If they are going to Damascus, they are going to need more resources than what they were provided with than the FSA which is doubtful

All this talk about Kurdish people. I'm confused, what does a war in the middle East have to do with Wisconsinites? Is black child pepperoni haram or something?

No need. There are a lot of weapons and resources that are simply tied up in Ukraine. It's just going to be a repeat of last time.

Why shouldn't Russia just withdraw from Syria and let the retards destroy each other? American-style nation building doesn't work in the Middle East, time to wind this Syria project down. Africa is more profitable for Russia anyway.

Alright. Who's taking bets that this is going to turn into a stalemate that lasts until mid-2025 after Russia has wrapped up and demilitarized Ukraine?

Russia is on week 145 of their 2 week special military operation. I dont see Russia able to help out Assad any time soon. Also, Hizbollah has been crippled, so there is not much support left for Damascus. Maybe the Iraqi militias will be able to help, but it seems doubtful.

Russia just drops bombs on nato/israeli assets. They don't do the risky patrols the yanks did in Iraq/Afghanistan for over a decade. Wagner did, but they are pretty much gone.

Yet I still haven't heard a single logical reason as to why should Russia stay in Syria after all these years. What does Assad's regime currently provide to Russia that is so valuable that Russian soldiers need to fight and die to defend it? If Assad's troops don't want to fight, why should Russian troops fight for them?

❗️The militants are already in the center of Aleppo , these shots were taken near the building of the Political Security Directorate in the city center.

It can be stated that the city has already essentially fallen, or will fall in the coming hours, and by morning the militants will celebrate their final victory.

It is noteworthy that none of the videos published by the enemy from the streets of Aleppo even show signs of clashes .

It all happened literally in one day, it’s just surreal.
