2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

Why shouldn't Russia just withdraw from Syria and let the retards destroy each other? American-style nation building doesn't work in the Middle East, time to wind this Syria project down. Africa is more profitable for Russia anyway.
Russia is not engaged in nation-building. Russia protects their allies in the region by providing weapons and sometimes air support.
Hizbollah has been crippled, so there is not much support left for Damascus. Maybe the Iraqi militias will be able to help, but it seems doubtful.
Why am I having a hard time believing you? Nobody requests a ceasefire like that if their enemy is crippled. Imagine if in January after all the US support is cut off, Russia approached Ukraine for a ceasefire that entailed a full withdraw of their own troops from the Donbass, and only imposed an unenforceable demilitarization zone in the Donbass. That would be retarded and would never happen.

Syria is a Russian ally in the way that Ukraine is an American ally. What has Syria ever done for Russia? It's been nothing but a liability for Russia to protect those goatfuckers from their own cousins.

I don't understand what you mean. But if the fighting was halted in Ukraine, freezing the conflict, then indeed Russia could pivot ti Syria. And I belive they would.

Hizbollah is in no position to do anything. Their entire leadership has been decapitated.

Yet I still haven't heard a single logical reason as to why should Russia stay in Syria after all these years. What does Assad's regime currently provide to Russia that is so valuable that Russian soldiers need to fight and die to defend it? If Assad's troops don't want to fight, why should Russian troops fight for them?
I know you hate Iran and Hezbollah, Perhaps you are brotherhood: Shia and more so Alawites are practically pagan and all that, or perhaps you are mossad, either case I get your motivation for being so fussed. But ask russia why it is in cuba, or the usa is still in the middle east which includes Syria.

> Cuba
Because it's off the coast of America, providing a convenient location to terrorize the Americans from. If you put a spy base there, you can monitor most of the US south easily. If you put missiles there, the Americans will shit themselves in terror. (again)

What's the importance of Syria to Russia now, in 2024? Don't give me pleb-tier answers like "protecting the Iraqi Syrian people from Saddam ISIS."

The way I see it, Russia withdrawing from Syria benefits the following: Russia first, Israel second, and to a lesser degree America. A win-win-win.

For fucks sake can we keep this A Syrian civil war thread and not a nafotard vs zigger thread

These are indirectly related conflicts. If Russia had not invaded Ukraine in 2022, or if Russia had won a quick victory in 2022, then this offensive against Aleppo would not have happened.

Syria provides Russia their only naval base within the Mediterranean and Syria has sent soldiers and other specialists to Russia for help in Ukraine.

Finally, a real answer. Syria's value to Russia is indeed in its access to the Med. Just like how Iran's value to Russia is to provide airspace that isn't controlled by NATO.

Now it's just a question if whether Russia can come to the same arrangement with the new Syrian and Iranian administrations if a regime change occurs. Or it may be time to reassess if Russia still needs that access in the first place, given that Russian focus has shifted from Africa and the ME back to Europe in the last few years.

qatar-europe gas pipeline jackass

It's not like the Ukrainians are dragging resources from NATO as well. Twitter still shows Russian aviation doing its work.
Cool cope bro but Turkey hasn't given shit to Ukraine except cheap drones it builds by the hundreds each month, it isn't draining its stocks of anything to help the hohols. Turkey invaded Syria in August 2016 because the rebels were losing thanks to huge Russian chair force intervention, that's 5+ years before the war in Ukraine. If it weren't for Turkey creating a safe zone for jihadis in northwestern Syria via that invasion the war would have been pretty much over by the end of 2017

If the Russian chair force were doing its work like it used to this offensive would have been assblasted before it even got started. This ain't 2015 and 2016 when Russia was literally Gaza'ing large chunks of rebel-held cities on the reg and saving Assad when the SAA was on the verge of not having enough soldiers to fight anymore

yeah for it's local concerns, but not for it's global. We've witness how the USA handles being the only player on a server and that was to shit on everyone but itself and Israel, even Europe didnt get much after the USSR collapsed compared to what the USA gave it during the first cold war.

USA got it's knife on your neck Cuba with the Balts, but wasnt content with that. Empires gonna empire, and it shows how poisoned the english speaking space has become via refusing to accept that Russia and more so China are not paper tigers whom can be toppled via a neocon fart. Russia drew a line in it's corner of arrakis in Syria, so it's mostly ideological but very important.

I fully understand that, just hope this thread focuses on the Syrian war and doesn’t become yet another useless debate thread.

You think Russia should support an Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline instead? Iran is one regime change away from being a Western puppet again, making long term plans involving the treasonous mullah regime is simply unrealistic.
Lol dawg, the reason why iran even has an ayatollah is because the west COUPED the shah. There should be no plans for any pipeline because there is simply nothing for russia to gain for cheaper energy anywhere at any time.

Have you ever considered that Russia may have other plans for Europe instead of just selling them oil and gas forever? And the shah was couped by European globalist factions who wanted to promote the spread of radical Islam.

Funny how that energy is nowhere to be found when ziggers shit up the thread with their cope and seethe, but a single picture with a Ukrainian icon next to a bunch of other flags set you off.
