2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

I'd use the term "neutered" instead of "defeated." They've been rendered harmless to Israel.
Then there would be no need for such a weak ceasefire. It's a tacit admission of weakness. Too many israeli diaper warriors are dying and being relegated to wheelchairs, and Northern israel is getting too unlivable, and they'd rather just act through proxies instead of getting themselves hurt anymore. That's all this is.

Okay there, Justin Trudeau. If you kill your enemies, they win. Sounds like we'll be seeing a lot of Hezbollah wins in Syria soon.

They didn't kill their enemies. They gave up because it was too hard XD

Anyway. I don't intend on talking about Lebanon any longer in this thread about Syria so I will say one thing that's actually relevant. All the people who've got the hopium going over this neck chopper offensive as if it's going to lead to a massive victory for the child castrating anti-white American empire really remind me of all the people who got on the hopium over the Kursk offensive as if that would accomplish something. They may even be the same people. I ought to go check the Ukraine thread around the date when it first started and see if any of you people in there saying the same things.

One thing I don't get is why the sandnigger apologists ever expected Hezbollah to be capable fighters in the first place. It was always a militia full of inbred retards who would leave their positions the moment they heard fighting. Cowardly even by Arab standards. Ask any Russian who ever visited Syria and they'll confirm that, I've heard it from multiple people. If it wasn't for Wagner, Assad would be long gone.

Edit for some updates:
The Aleppo Governor's Palace and the Aleppo Police Headquarters have been captured by HTS.

Sky News Arabic reports that the opposition declares a curfew in Aleppo until Saturday morning.

From Russian sources, machine translated:
Syrian militants continue to take district after district, as well as small settlements. There are almost no reports of battles at all, they continue to move almost unhindered. Only the Russian Aerospace Forces are systematically working on them.

According to what can be confirmed by objective footage, the militants are already in the east of Aleppo. That is, by tomorrow, at this rate, the entire city will definitely be under the militants.

This is the correct take. I will never understand none-Muslims cheering on islamists
HTS vs Hezbollah is literally "Sunni jihadists vs Shia jihadists".

The good news is they are killing each other, the bad news is any new tactic learned killing each other they will turn around and use against the West.

New substack post from Aymenn Jawad:

As of the time of writing, the insurgent offensive in northwest Syria has managed to enter western parts of Aleppo city. On the government side, some who have fled the city already expect the entire city to fall, although one should advise against retroactively projecting intention onto battlefield successes. It may be that the insurgents themselves are surprised by how much they have managed to take so quickly.

The only thing Hezzbollah is good for is gunning down civilians, selling drugs, and extorting money

Now Assad has his two main backers either rendered useless or occupied in Ukraine.

The Russian Navy won't be showing up in the Med, the Kuzentzov is in drydock.... Possibly forever, and the Russian military is down ~115 helicopters and ~90 jets vs 2015/16 and every cruise missile they make is earmarked for Ukraine or domestic reserves.

The Alawites lost BADLY in the Civil war so far. They're not going it be dying in Aleppo, id doubt most will leave the Alawite stronghold provinces. Syria is an economic disaster zone so Assad can't bribe them, or ANYONE to fight for him.

Iran is also and economic basket case and can't pull the same number of Basiji, IRGC and Afghan/Iraqi Shia volunteers as they were burned through from 2011 till 2020
My guess is if the rebs keep their momentum, this could see the government in any effective form retreat to those places where Alawites actually live like Latakia and Tartus, the Capital and to a lesser degree in Homs and Hama, so a portion of the east nearing the coast. The big rebel sponsor is Turkey isn't exactly in a situation of sparkling economic perfection with vast inflation and load shedding in places, its attitude to Russia duds like the S-400 was quixotic, but Erdogan really can do as he wishes within constraints of certain norms. Iraq certainly cannot or won't help Assad. It has a large anti-Iranian Shia element, of which al Sadr is a notable leader. There are obviously pro Iran elements, but they're hardly enough. Iran has its economic and political problems and its big ticket client Hizbollah was utterly humiliated by Israel. Other Lebanese communities are no longer in awe or fear of them. I doubt the Taliban / al Qaeda would countenance and foreign fighters for Assad given they are pressed hard in places. If the Syrian rebels hold together, Assad is going to sweat quite a bit.

Erdogan was and is happy to shake Putin's hand while providing what support to Ukraine is useful for him and Turkey's weapon's industry.

That second infographic must be old and not really accurate and old. Tankies and those 'peace' type (like Stein or Gabbard who met Assad) always back Russia, Assad and the whole smelly axis of turd world fail as it's anti-American and sort of Soviet innit.
