Orange man like tariffs.
Orange man bad.
Therefore tariffs bad.
I'm not going to bother copying the text of the article, but I think this headline sums it up:
Trump’s tariffs in his first term did little to alter the economy, but this time could be different (a)

It's all hype and fearmongering about things that could happen. I could grow three extra fingers off my left foot. The FBI headquarters could be demolished by the International Space Station if hackers forced a re-entry. Lots of things could happen.

i'd argue that he's still liberal, but the liberals have become taken over by communist fascists who kept the name
he is, that's why he's a nazi now.

Something I just can't get out of my head since I saw this picture:

Doesn't RFK Jr look a bit... Off ? Like his face is just a bit too dark? Like an early/mild case of Argyria?

Knowing he's a bit of an alt-medicine sperg, I wouldn't be surprised if he poisoned himself with colloidal silver.
maybe he just got a lot of sun?
I wonder if any "rfk is actually black" memes would stick.

He takes testosterone supplements that turn him red. Like Alex Jones did that one time.

I thought that was just a physical manifestation of his anger!

before I was even born, and no one has ever asked them how doing that benefits the American people. Because it doesn't. At least tariffs actually protect domestic business.
I can answer that question.

The middle east oil isnt for domestic US consumption its for us allies. we get our oil from much closer places

From The Hill: "Ranking the Democrats: Here’s who the party could nominate next as president" (archive)

Here are the "possibles" discussed in this piece, in the order they are mentioned: Kamala Harris, Gavin Newson, Gretchen Whitmer, Josh Shapiro, Pete Buttigieg, JB Pritzker, and AOC. All I have to say to this is: YUCK!

Another interesting article: "Democratic senators say they bungled border security in 2024" (archive)

It sounds like some Senators within the Democratic Party are maybe, possibly, potentially seeing one error of their platform. None of these secret Senators are named and, of course, not one of them spoke out about this terrible policy during 2024.

Hate Joe Rogan, hate Ben Shapiro, hate Theo Von, hate Jordan Peterson, hate all of these fake intellectual podcasters that people listen to. Most of the Joe Rogan podcast is some dude trying to sell some "alternative reality" with cherry picked facts, not interested at all.

His reach is bullshit and attributing him to being part of why he won is retarded, it was cool but listen to Trump in that podcast just sticking to message and repeating himself over and over.
I absolutely do not understand why out of these individuals, Rogan gets you bothered the most. He's not even close to intellectual, his entire schtick is just asking questions because he's a fucking dope who wants to learn more about things. He's just a well meaning retard who likes talking to people.
The rest are grifters I don't give a shit about, I just think it's absolutely fucking loony you're comparing Rogan to Peterson. Bluesky behavior.

The party does need to rebuild itself.

I think its been pointed out that While Hilary purged the party of competent people or threats to her turn, Obama encourage a culture of slience, if you were critical of him you got shown the door.

I also think wants broken alot of people is that with such control over the conversation and social pressure alot of people just kept their mouth shut and pulled the lever for red.

Also I think it would be interesting if the DNC got the former dem presidents to unit and help rebuild the party.

I would love to see Biden, Obama, Clinton, and Carter sitting a table talking about how they got to where they are.
Will never happen because Carter's nearly 100 and out of it/been isolated out of power for eons, Biden is out if it via dementia too, and Bill would basically be in full choke an uppity nigger to death mode when Obama refuses to take any responsibility for Trump via shit talking him at the correspondents dinner and causing him to run for President as a result.

Further, Rogan is the role model a lot of people complain young men don't have. Curious, asks questions, kind to most people.

You point this out to his most ardent detractors and they quickly start to show that they really meant young men should be obedient and not curious.

I believe it's political. When I looked up where the US imports its oil from, I got mostly Canada as of 2024. When I flipped and looked up where OPEC exports their oil to, I got China, India, Japan, and others as of 2022. Now I can't find anything from the 70's-80's, but the 1973 crisis was caused by wars in the ME and the US support of Israel among others. Because of that, I can only guess that the crisis shifted Europe closer to places like Norway and Russia, and the US to places like Canada. People joke about how the US goes into the ME for oil, but I think it's a combination of the MIC, Greatest Ally Israel being the Greatest Ally, and wanting proxy wars and buffer states against the Soviet Union. Fast forward to now and we have Iranians and other foreigners like Huma Abedin in office, making backroom deals and sending money plus info back to their home countries. Iran may not have a lot of oil, but Saudi Arabia does, and those countries hate each others' guts. All the more reason to get into your opponents' strongest ""business partner"" and infiltrate it.

I really do think it's to appease these countries, Venezuela included, to fend off Soviet influence, whether or not it benefited the average American. And it backfired horribly. Nixon was president in '73, but instead of playing to our real advantage as a net exporter, the likes of Carter gave it away to appease people who hate us, and always will. Hindsight may be 20/20 (hah), but this has been going on for so long it's amazing that there's are so many boomers that don't support Trump. No matter what the TV man says, or has said for the past several decades, we were a net exporter under him and there were no wars in the ME because he played a different game from the likes of Obamna. Trump is actual change. Real change.

Hopefully we get a Trump and Romney '16 photo if he is showing up.
I want Trump to turn his dog ass away and apply the tariffs anyway. Make the Canadians sweat a little. Maybe even make it so part of the trade deal includes Canadians not being allowed on the clearnet for a month.
