One thing that's overlooked from yesterday's PC setup stream is that he tried making AIslop images and when he made it make an image of the average DSP detractor it made a muscular black dude in a Santa suit Then he kept asking it to make a picture of himself, including one where "DSP felts his trolls" and it was just pictures of black dudes.

I think the AI knows his sexual preferences.

I don't buy that he is abnormally stupid (yet his decisions about everything continue to surprise or rather not surprise me). 80 IQ is literal retard territory and IQ is a poor measure of intelligence anyway. He probably has an average IQ.

The way he thinks and done stuff is primarily littered with arrogance and almost total dependence on his audience and other people for everything and the other thing that always factors is disorganization of thought.

I could tell from the HL2 playthrough years ago (which was the only playthrough of his that I really ever actually followed) that he really lacks in spatial reasoning, like to an abnormal level (he was missing key details and couldn't jump over basic obstacles) - however - I think one of the reasons for this is that he talks and pays attention to chat whenever he is playing games (for the most part). Racing games are another great example of where he literally drives into walls and very obvious obstacles - and in racing games I believe he is actually paying more attention to the game vs chat.

My best guess is that he is turbo ADHD (with literally none of the good traits) and has never been diagnosed - and on top of already being ADHD his dopamine receptors are probably completely fried from being a literal addict to a fucking gacha game/candy crush clone. He gets all of his dopamine hit from gacha/gambling, so whenever he is playing games he never has any real investment in it. If he had a normal job that would give him actual structure (like going to college does) but since he has total free-form in his job he really doesn't get the same level of structure (and no, being autistic about your schedule is not really structure).

How anyone can write drivel like this after 16 years of DSP being gaming's top lolcow is beyond me. How someone can unironically write this drivel after yesterday's stream and the three DSPahlitics streams is unbelievable. Phail is fucking retarded. Have you ever had to do a job where you have to deal with people (mostly coworkers) with mid 80s to low 90s IQ? Phail is like this. I lie, he is exponentially worse because he's a narcissist. The majority of dimwits I had to deal with at least have this sense of humility about not understanding none of 'em book learnin' thangs. His political analysis is on the level of Xanderhal, who is a certified borderline retard, it's just that Phail decided on the right wing grift while Xanderhal does the left wing grift. Not to mention that lack of spatial awareness and proneness to addiction are correlated with lower levels of IQ.

I will grant one thing, he probably was of average or just below average intelligence back in school. I mean yeah he went to a school known for their low IQ b-ballin' students but being valedictorian has to count for something. However, years of alcohol abuse does bad things to one's intelligence and when one gets to Phail's age it's devastating, couple that with a complete lack of intellectual curiosity and almost a decade of living a hermetic lifestyle and I quite frankly wouldn't be surprised if his IQ is currently in the low 80s. The brain is a muscle like any other, don't use it and it becomes as weak as his twig arms and chicken legs.

One thing people forget is that Phail actually used to do edited videos waaay back in the day. As in, videos he edited and scripted himself, and they had all the hallmarks of a 90 IQ dimwit, since he'd copy the FORM of how people did edited videos and reviews back then but completely misunderstood the FUNCTION of those elements. "Phil from KOGaming" is probably the most notable example because he copied it from channels like Rooster Teeth but completely missed the point that they had multiple front facing personalities so saying "X from Y here" made sense in their case. Then there's the problem of his reviews where he puts in gameplay footage but unlike every other reviewer the footage he put on had nothing to do with what he's yapping about. He could be talking about the fun gunplay but show menuing on screen, then he'd talk about the shitty dialogue but show himself shooting bad guys.

I'm surprised this clip doesn't circulate more, but I was watching the Fallout 4 melee build gameplay live, and he admitted to hiding or augmenting the tips to "misdirect people, so they don't do shit" (whatever that means). I have a mental image of it, he was looting one of those blown out buses when he said it. I distinctly remember the word "misdirect," because I was surprised it was part of his vocab.

Yeah I have worked with many very stupid and incapable people. Being incapable is a bigger property than being stupid though, but there are a lot of really stupid people out there.

Yeah there is no doubt his intelligence has probably diminished over time. The biggest thing I think you missed or maybe disagree with in what I wrote is that he gets all of his dopamine from gacha and stupid shit. He has literally zero emotional interest in anything to do with streaming (the only time he does is FGC autism and also when there are gambling minigames like in that Japanese game he played and everyone noticed his eyes light up)

I think Phil was at one point an average IQ guy. But what ruined it was probably his urge for instant gratification. For example way back in his career he held his "Hateful turths" hostage when he made a video pointing the camera on one of his videos saying "You want this kind of video? I need this" meaning views, comments and ratings. He wasn't willing to improve his content / technique he just wanted an instant boost. He was able to script at one point and was able to somehow present his points. But years of isolation, yelling at a camera, booze / fast food consumption and gacha addictiuon ravaged his mind. If he had held a job it might have turned differently as you usually have to interact with colleagues or even sometimes hang out with them. But Phil hasn't. The last true interactions were probably on his farewell party then it was mostly just Phil and Panda. Oh and feeding the trolls which he never ceases to do. This "upgrade" arc is a prime example. Most of us would do at least a smidgeon of research before throwing any money out of the window. Not Phil though: spend money, complain, spend even more money, complain even more.

Oh no, I completely agreed with that. Overall I'd say that he has a spending addiction and that gacha gives him the best outlet for that, but he is absolutely a dopamine fiend.

I think the majority of IQ tests (like the one they do for MENSA) are just visual pattern recognition. That really can only go so far. People can easily train to do them better also.

A full scale IQ test (which as I understand very few people do) includes verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory and some other shit. That is obviously more meaningful than just a visual pattern recognition test, but I think most people just do the visual pattern bullshit - they both come out with IQ numbers though.

The big point is that those more involved tests (whether MENSA/whatever) have to actually be administered by a doctor and can't be done online in the first place at all (especially since one of them involves physically manipulating wooden blocks).

Like I get everyone's point that IQ tests do have some merit, but most of the ones that people do online aren't as conclusive as people may like to think - they're just an indication.

I'm personally skeptical of any fake tips theory because fake tips cannot be spent on doordash, gin, WWEC and tchotchke toys and gadgets. However, if this redemption arc suddenly made the pendulum swing and now his ego is currently winning over his greed I can see a timeline where Phil desperately holds on to the streak W even if he has to resort to conjuring up numbers out of thin air.

I mean the fake tip theory has been around for years at this point, but when the bankruptcy documents came out all of his income figures were within like +/- 10% of what the autistic tips/income tracker tracked - and I believe that even included estimations of what his YouTube adsense income was. That they were able to get them so close means that at least prior to the bankruptcy he probably never had fake tips.

It would be interesting if he started doing fake tips, but I believe he also started consolidating income streams (besides adsense) to count towards the tip totals (at least I read that was the case somewhere on this thread). I think the reason he probably did that had to do with the argentinian gifted subs making his income calculations impossible and the sub count essentially becoming meaningless - that or maybe someone from KC told him that only counting tips and not cheers was totally retarded.

Because the tips + cheers are now consolidated into his daily goals, it does raise a lot more questions about his income and how much he spends because it was pretty clear that his tips were for gacha/fun and the sub/adsense money was for da bills - maybe there is no longer a distinction for that.
