I'm lucky to have never given up my PS1 since I was a kid. I still have an OG Xbox and a PS2 as well. It's grown around and infested the groups of people who have the consoles and talk about it, be it modding, restoring or playing. I seem to notice when trannies have old consoles, it's normally not because they've always had them, not even because they're getting back into them either, but they've got caught up in the trend by following other trannies

I think I read the entirety of Berserk, mostly because I genuinely liked it and its main character Guts. That’s, I think, one thing that I didn’t feel ashamed reading.

Try 'Gate'. It's modern Jap military fighting medieval knights, using modern Jap military hardware. If you're into sports and such there's always stuff like Hajime no Ippo which is a boxing show. Redline was a racing flick and a fantastic feat of animation mastery that bankrupted a studio. There's all sorts of stuff just beyond the veil of the 'normie' crap (if you want to call it that; I couldn't find a better way to phrase it).

Tax: I think it's called 'In Stars and Time', some game that smacked of Troonshit to me, but that might have been just because one of the characters was an incredibly butch dude with nail polish. I'd only seen it pop up once on the steam store.

This feels like the inverse opposite of the world of Sonichu. Sonichu, at least from what I would remember, was somewhat racist, sexist and homophobic. Chris also didn’t want tobacco or any other stimulant in his world either.

Gate is a decent series but it sorta falls off after like the first three story arcs. At least in the manga/LN since the anime got cut short.

When it was about the Japs first repelling the Fantasy invasion, then invading the Fantasy World out of revenge and doing some light 'nation building' in the Fantasy World a la Iraq 2003, it was pretty fun.

But like when it became a Jap military wank fest about how Da Honorabru JSDF soldier can beat Russian, Chinese, and American Spec Ops cuz of muh bushido then it became really corny. Japanese Neocons (which the author is one) have a really weird obsession with repealing Article 9 so they can die in the Middle East more efficiently for whatever reason.

When it was Human vs Fantasy that was great. But then Human vs Human with a heavy dose of JSDFsperging, nah.

To justify it the antagonist nations are written to be as cartoonishly evil and incompetent as possible, executing and raping civilians constantly and laughing at any mention of the JSDF even as they actively get airstriked by F-2's.

At least some of the fanfics tend to tone down on the constant military autism, or at least make the opposing side more reasonable and less evil for the sake of evil.

The Japs have a real chip on their shoulder after getting totally owned in WW2 by the Burgers, lol. When in reality they will be the ones screaming for America's help once shit hits the fan. It almost rivals how the PRC tries to wank off the PLA in propaganda movies like Wolf Warrior, but I'd argue at the very least the PLA did have feats post-WWII and they are self sufficient.

I honestly kind of wished they would leverage more of the JSDF's unique aspects and tactics (namely, their naval assets and combined arms) which shows how different they are from any other military other than showing how they just stomp everyone else without any challenge.

it's just vagrant story too, a good game from back when squaresoft (later merged with enix) made games that were cool.
people are just tired of it being done wrong and gay all the time and even if someone did it right for once it's just not worth it anymore. doing something even a bit more high effort like a style from a later or just different console filters out the vast majority of troons and looks more high quality, it's not a coincidence the biggest jump in fidelity is often said to be between the 5th and 6th gen of consoles.

It was never that aesthetically pleasing to begin with. Personally i think 6th gen is where there is a much better balance of nostalgia + the games actually looking good.

You can also tell the low poly obsession is done out of lazyness because they never imitate high effort stuff with pre-rendered backgrounds



I also haven't seen people go the full way and use fmvs or even similar promotional 3d renderings, that would actually be interesting if done by someone who is not a tranny. I think i've only see one mock up ad done like this but it was for YIIK
