The British Summer of Discontent - The growing civil unrest of the native British population, sparked by the murder of 3 young girls in Southport

It's quiet, but it is an uneasy simmering quiet.
The Wrath of the Awakened Saxon

by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.
Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

I had no idea.

1) this poem is actually titled "The Beginnings"
2) this poem as written by Kipling says "the English" not "the Saxon"
3) who are you calling a bloody Saxon, I'm a Celt!

LotusEaters is a good video.

I am aware of people with access to LexisNexis and such systems doing technical deep dives. FOI requests have been sent.

They expect vociferous refusals and obfuscation.
Oh that IS interesting. I do hope they dig up some nice goodies and share them with the class. I do hope they’re attempting to find out more about the stabby man’s wider family too. Something there smells very off indeed

can't hurt to give it a sign i suppose

Or can it ? It isn't anonymous, is it ? I wonder what list you'll be on if you sign it. They're locking people up for wrong speak.......how much longer before you're locked up for being associated with wrong think ?

"To sin by silence when we should protest makes cowards of men."

Over 1 million people have signed it. They can't do anything without at least 5 times that number of people noticing that their family member is in jail for wrong think.

They can't jail everyone who says bad mean hurty words about filthy child raping illegal migrants or everyone who hates them. They're shaping up to be the most hated government ever and they've, in taking away WFA, done something not even the tories would.

Farmers hate them. Anyone wanting to leave anything to their kids hates them. Benefits claimants hate them.straight white people are fucking sick of their bullshit.

The truth dropped about that child killer in Southport. We all know starmer fathered a bastard and has a super injunction to stop media discussing it. We all know he let's lord ali fuck him up the arse for free specs and suits.

Manchester and Leeds rioters are let off scot free despite attacking police and burning buses and now to round it all off it's been fucking freezing this week and that gladhanding, grinning, knee taking gammon faced, odious, pedo friendly cunt is sunning himself in Brazil planning on how to force us all to eat the bugs and drive the electronic cars.

Doubt this is true, but it is my paranoid fear becoming reality

Dissent is "anti-social" and a threat to authority.

They are actively refusing to give information about how much money Integrated Health Boards are spending on paying for free-at-point-of-use private dental care for illegal migrants. They are also claiming an exemption to avoid giving concrete numbers on where, precisely, this £22 billion black hole is in our finances.

how would the logistics of that even work like 3 mil people signed that petition
If you think there is safety in numbers, please explain to me what happened in Russia, North Korea, China ?
The complacency of "it couldn't happen here" I believe is one of the reasons why we're in the situation we're in. There were warnings about Starmer before the election. Those that are old enough to remember the previous Labour government and still voted for this one.....well, I'd better not say what I think of them.
Also, technology is making surveillance even more scalable, the hurdles to totalitarianism are diminishing, not increasing.
I'm not saying you'll be locked up for signing a petition just yet, but do I think you could be on a watch list, be under increasing surveillance, be censured in some way - I think those things are definitely possible.

We saw during lockdown that it could happen here very easily.

Luckily for me I’m cynical and have no ethics so will happy run a death squad for whatever side takes over.

Tl;Dr?
A Brit saying right then presses his hands on his knees to stand up and removes two races while merely standing up

Is that genuine? Or is it a deep fake? That's a hell of admission if it's legitimate. Something must have rattled him badly if he was willing to get up and admit that.
It's genuine. Unfortunately, all the discussion of it was lost in destiny's anus, but the tl;dr of it is that he "admitted" this purely so he could blame the tories and, more importantly, brexit for all the problems. He doesn't want to end immigration; he just wants to implement Labour's own version of "the good kind of immigration".

It's a risky proposition, though. Admitting there's a real and fundamental problem might mean he loses control of the narrative. Which would be great, if it happens.

I mean I think at this point he is out of options. If he pretends that there is no problem he risks really boosting Reform and to a lesser extent the Torries.

Oh also by the way, kinda off topic but like depending on how bad it gets do you think Reform has a chance to enter government? Like are they persona non grata for the Torries or could anyone see that happening?

Never say never, but it's very unlikely, given how the constituency boundaries fall and how the party campaigns. Reform will nearly always end up cannibalising tory votes, so the tories won't be predisposed to any sort of cooperation with them, and as long as Farage is leader they'll never be more than a vehicle for his ego, which means they'll field few if any competent candidates. Competence would represent a threat to Farage's control of the party and his final salary pension.

So…could that lead to a cursed Labour-Tory coalition if they were to win enough seats?
