Mysta racked up taxes in the order of several hundred thousand pounds and he was at NijiEN for just over 1.5 years. You're delusional if you think some of the more notable talents at Hololive aren't rich. Even ignoring the superchat money, there's also memberships (which numberfags often don't bother to bring up or poorly track) and merch revenue. The whole twitch adpocalypse also revealed how much twitch streamers with sizeable followers make and there's no way most of the Vshojo girls aren't rolling in the dough with their CCV.

The only real big counterweight to this is that a lot of vtubers are literal retards and are shit with money, especially if they're addicted to gacha or have an addiction to host clubs.

Yeah but he made it sound like corpo vtubers are all making millions. I’d say as a whole vtubers are probably on the lower end compared to other types of content creators. I’d estimate most of the popular corpo vtubers are probably bringing in somewhere in the 100,000s of dollars but unless you have IronMouse level membership numbers I doubt most of the top corpos are making in the millions.

A lot of people here will disagree, but I think Gura's been looking for the door for at least the last 6 months. Keep in mind that even in a situation like Cover's, where one party in negotiations could be argued to have significant leverage over all of their workers, and contract terms are generally boilerplate, it's very likely that Gura's contract contains language that most of the others don't due to the stature/perceived market value of the character IP involved.

I think she wants out and is either being strung along with bags of increasing size that she is able to both secure and continue to not stream, or there are some fairly noteworthy clawback clauses that she is letting the clock run out on.

Kronii just confirmed that while she has frustrations, none of them reach the level where she is upset enough to leave, and she wants to stay and isn't planning on going anywhere. She has lots she wants to do and wouldn't be talking about her complaints if she were at that point. That and she has never been forced to say anything and that she hates being forced to say things.

Basically she's not going anywhere.

I honestly feel like she might be ill as fuck and combined with the workload she’s just started to nope out a lot when not doing sponserships.
 
The ‘blackrock owns less than 1% stock they are fucked’ is my favorite scitzo in this.

Honestly, a lot of people don’t know how many things those guys invest in.

Honestly the likelyhood is some of the staff that was keeping things run well left or moved out of that role and the people that replaced them aren’t as good.

People underestimate how few changes are needed to screw up a company.

I will note that Pekora is one of the mems who has a whole gambling addiction.

Yet, she ironically seems to be decent about her money. While yeah she's very private about some of her personal life, from what she has said I would not be surprised if that crazy Rabbit has a whole savings and then some to last her a while. It wouldn't surprise me either given the many sponsorships she's had.

Botan certainly should be decent with her money. I mean, she used to be a Professional E-sports gamer, an E-sports coach, and even now she's doing well for herself. Though at the same time, she IS spending plenty on snacks and food. I don't think Botan is going to really be hurting for cash when she does graduate just purely because I feel like she's one of the mems who yes does indulge herself, but also has self-control. I mean, for example she's been exercising and compared to like 2014, she actually looks fairly healthy.
