WhatifAltHist / Rudyard Lynch - History youtuber, galaxy brained, no credentials and no sex

The last several days Rudyard has been melting down since people (particularly the dissident right) dared to make fun of him. Because a lot of his audience is in the DR, Rudyard has been melting down and lashing out against his own audience.

In this post, Rudyard is clearly just angry because people like Nick Fuentes makes fun of him, but he goes on to call people who believe in that over him 'completely naive and retarded', bragging about how easy it is to manipulate them and how good he is at pushing them into 'derangement'. I'm not sure how he's done that because in my opinion he's looked completely insane and insecure throughout this whole exchange.

For example, he's him getting strangely butthurt at someone posting a funny gif

He crashes out completely on his audience, effectively calling them stupid broke loser incel prey animals.

After constantly insulting his fans and audience, he goes on to brag about how good he is with attractive women that he says he goes on dates with. He also laments how women 'use Chad as an outlet for their own insecurities' which as a Nice Guy, Rudyard helps save them from of course.

I've enjoyed Rudyard as a funny sperg since before this thread was made but have had my doubts as to whether he'd ever reach the level of a true lolcow. He's always made me laugh, but would he ever exhibit the kind of freakout behaviors and unhealthy responses to criticism that define the classic cows? It's looking like he's now on that path.

Not a big deal, but I find it interesting that he suggests that his American state has more deer than people. I looked it up and the number thrown around is 1.5 million (Rudyard says it's 20 million in the first image). Lots of bullshit on the internet so I checked and the official state agency records about 400 to 500k being shot each year. Google says that American management policy is to kill roughly a third each year to maintain a stable population. So that 1.5M is probably correct. People actually outnumber deer ten to one.

Who cares? Well I just find it funny because Rudyard's whole worth is based on the premise that he is knowledgeable. He probably has heard people say his whole life that there are more deer than people and just believed it. No great shame in that. I'm sure I know some 'fun facts' about my local region that are actually false but get constantly repeated regardless. He's so confident about it, just like he is about his knowledge of history and ability to decipher the 'whys' of historical processes. I wonder how many of his deeply held beliefs are similarly based off of false premises that he heard long ago and never challenged.

Being wrong about the animal population in his birthplace isn't a big deal, but Rudyard is a lolcow so I will mock him for it. The whole reason I looked this up is because it seemed highly unlikely to me from the start. I don't know much about deer or Pennsylvania. But I know that the former don't live in huge, dense herds and that the latter is a long-settled State in the eastern US with at least two large cities. I smelled bullshit right away.

I definitely agree that he's on the path though not really there right now. I'm not sure if he'll reach the level of freakouts of the classic cows, but I certainly believe at some point in the coming years something will cause a meltdown. 3-4 years ago he just made entertaining hypotheticals about history and occasionally politics, but at this point his videos have nearly quadrupled in length into rants about the same set of topics over and over again, like how leftism is ruining the world, the whole world is going to collapse, the spirit world, etc. He's been getting worse every single year as his delusions of grandeur and ego grow larger and larger while his views get lower and lower, which is just a perfect storm for an eventual meltdown.

In my opinion, the whole reason he's gotten this far to begin with was due to how obscure he is and the fact he's in an echo chamber. The only larger opposition he's faced was a debate with vaush and a few leftist video essays, all which are meaningless because it never escaped breadtube and leaked into the mainstream. He 'declared war' on the internet with the delusion he's some major intellectual only to find out no one knows who the hell he is. This thread has done a good job detailing how much of his belief system is driven by personal resentment and is all about himself, and how he's frequently wrong about things, but nothing said here is known by the wider internet. He's already reacted extremely poorly to fairly minor and irrelevant criticism, so how would he react if a neutral and well evidenced video/debate were to occur that exposed how unintelligent and insane he was and goes viral? Or if his viewership drops to a level where he can no longer pretend to be a wealthy successful guru?

I like how so many spergs have issues with, or overly praise, the Why Files. Rudy watched one of their videos on the CIA finding the spirit world and became totally convinced it is real. For reference, this is the Why Files:

Yes that is Dollar Tree Rob Lowe and a talking fish with a tin foil hat. No slight on the show, it's entertaining - but it's the equivalent of watching Ancient Aliens as a primary source, except Why Files tend to point out where there are holes in whatever story is being presented.

Rudy has a similar obsession with The Mouse Utopia Experiments, ignoring all criticisms of the experiment and refusing to accept that humans are not rats. He's the exact opposite of what a good researcher/historian should be, he finds one set of "facts" that gel with how he already views the world and becomes hyper-fixated, unwilling to admit he is ever wrong. Makes him more persuasive because he is so convinced by his own correctness, but bad for any sort of reflection of reality. He also wears his insecurities on his sleeve - he's a succesful business man who has started many a social club, he is happy with his dating options right now, his critics like to use this old photo of him but this is how he looks now, childhood PTSD, etc. His insistence on his own success makes it feel like he is lying, covering up... something.

tl;dr if Rudy isn't autistic I'll eat Hecklefish

Rudyard today confirms in a tweet that he is 'a practicing mystic who has communed with the spirit world many times'. He also confirms that he's going to make a video about it soon. The way this is looking it may confirm the hypothesis that Rudyard has been taking strong hallucinogenic substances, but we'll have to wait and see.

I've seen a few of this guy's videos and part of an interview with him on some podcast. I wasn't impressed with him or his theories. As someone who tracks the likelihood of low intensity conflict in America, his prediction of a civil war in America by spring 2025 is particularly laughable. It would take a black swan event for that to happen, and nobody predicts black swan events.

It wasn't until I stumbled onto his X account that I realized what a total fucking goofball he his. His intense insecurity oozes in nearly every post he makes. He believes himself to be much more observant and intelligent than he is. His posts regarding women and his status as definitely not being an incel reveal that he has certainly never felt a woman's touch.

At the rate he's going, he'll cringepost his way into nobody taking him seriously anymore.

Last year I'd joined the unofficial WIAH discord, expecting it to be a fan server. It was a few years old and had hundreds of users who were mostly in their teens (18+ lol) and twenties. Nobody there actually took Rudyard seriously and the only common denominator seemed to be that users would turn as soon as they started going to uni.

Without being too charitable to the schools, the difference between being a fan of Rudyard and not is knowing enough to realize he knows nothing.

On paper he could grift off of low-information viewers forever. Honestly the only real threat to Rudyard's brand is his massive ego alienating viewers, which is what's happening. He's literally fighting his audience.

Do you guys think Rudyard will ever recover from being made fun of? It's been a week and he's still at it.

Why does he think this is a massive glow-up? He has been pushing this idea for a while now. He went from your average nerd to lowkey looking like a potential sex offender. In these post-high school photos, you can tell he's been trying to portray himself as a classy, yet closet genius historian/author (I don't have the right word for it).

This fucking idiot is going to Hell if he doesn't repent for his shamanism.

I still remember his stance on this stuff in one of his prior videos. "Is it good? Well, let's look at a society shaped by it: India. Enough said."

What I'm saying is that half of Rudyard's individual opinions align to a broadly left-wing, Marx tinged interpretation of power. Many of his gripes with post industrial modernity could comfortably rest on the lips of Noam Chomsky.

That's why it's so funny that he thinks the 'global elite' and the captains of industry are radical Marxist communists. It obviously doesn't make any sense, but it's no surprise given his general ignorance of philosophy.

Remember that this guy only learned there's a difference between Rationalism and Empiricism this year, but he's going to lecture to us about the history of Western thought. Lol
He admits to this in one of his more-recent videos. School must have deeply bothered him.

While I was in middle school, all of us kids had to take political ideology tests, and my result came back as something along the lines of "liberal in denial". I imagine Rudy is something like this. It falls in line with his "analysis of his own average viewer".

Just imagine him when he's greeted by Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates before being told of his unrepentance sins he committed with Rudy going on an unorganized rant on how society made him this way.

Why does he always hunch forward while sitting down?

that high school pic will forever haunt him. it's honestly not even that bad but he has to fucking react to it every single time. has no one learned the lesson at this point?
