South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an “emergency martial law,” Tuesday accusing the country’s opposition of controlling the parliament, sympathizing with North Korea and paralyzing the government with anti-state activities.

Yoon made the announcement during a televised briefing. He declared the step as critical for defending the country’s constitutional order. It wasn’t immediately clear how the steps would affect the country’s governance and democracy.

Yoon since taking office in 2022 had struggled to push his agendas against an opposition-controlled parliament.

I have been in and out browsing the situation from this thread and a few koreans I follow on social media

Also, has the PM gave details on what exactly he meant by North Korean infiltration? Part of me feels like that is bullshit like the 4B/incel movements we are constantly hearing about, but the other part of me would not be surprised if NK was buying politicians with Chinese money similar to how the US likely buys politicians. I wonder if he is going to arrest everyone compromised, or just the NK/China assets. Maybe its being done through martial law since a traditional investigation would also reveal the US's hand in the country's affairs?

He's a US state dept bootlicker, so i wouldn't be surprised if they goaded him into it. but the truth is his approval rating is in the shitter and he's a lame duck with the current congress.

1500 sqf apartment is like 2 million there and I am not talking about a fucking new build. I am talking about 3 decade old apartment. Small 2 bed 700 sqf apartment is like $1 million.

If they wanted to fix the population crisis, they should have ended the ponzi real estate economy.
there were a ton of shady real estate deals in Pusan over the last 20 years as well. community cemeteries being plowed to make way for high rises. along with stagnant wages and increasing imports cutting domestic farming and manufacturing.

The WEF plan.
