Speaking of pedos, I've noticed an argument break out that speaks for itself.

As you can see, it started over talking about how people "overreact" over female teachers fucking little boys because that's apparently not a big deal. The discussion then moves on to lusting after drawn pictures of little boys and ranting about how their penises are drawn. Note one of the many filters being used in place of "child porn" and the like. Funny how a site with two drawn child porn boards, one temporary real child porn board and a good spell of /b/ being no different than /hebe/ could have problem with people constantly talking about wanting to have sex with children.
BTW, I just checked their thread right now and there is indeed shotacon porn posted.

I don't know the context here, I'm afraid I only showed up right as the posts in question were deleted, so I couldn't see what was actually said. From what I can gather, someone posted something that doesn't align with the Gamegate hivemind and that something had to do with Xenoblades. Naturally, the "niggerpill" had to be deleted.

Speaking of which, the farms are officially living rent free in their heads, joined by the likes of 4chan, soyjak.party, various boogeymen they like to pretend stalk their dead board and yours truly.

On the other hand, their /pol/ is so weak and pathetic that you can tell they didn't make that their main board on 8chan prime. With how angry they get when their current safespace is broken, they would never survive on the old /pol/.

I would argue it would be a mix of both, although in the VERY beginning it was 100% a /v/ thing as we tried reaching out to the Gawker CEO at the time in order to seek some accountability for the shit that GJP did at the time. Not to mention we were all very naive in regards to what was gonna happen with the media and the politics surrounding GamerGate. Think of it this way, Wikipedia considers GamerGate to be a bigger threat than ISIS who they don't even call a terrorist group. Now you can make the argument that there were bad actors in GamerGate, and I believe that to be true. Hell we have the 30+ Game Overs guy here who's likely a victim of trolls remorse which is why he keeps calling me a pedophile despite myself giving up the reigns of 8moe early on, and not even being attracted to lolishit. Although in regards to GamerGate, I believe it was extremely tone deaf of the video games industry to call millions of gamers nazi pedophiles because they saw the lies surrounding the GamerGate movement which I believe ultimately led to a lot of people gaining experience and using it for the Trump MAGA movement. I believe as GamerGate was a centre-right wing political movement that was going against the media that it was going to be attacked relentlessly by big corporations, journalists and people within government who want more control over the populous. It's why people are still talking about it to this day. That said, I DO believe people that were in /pol/ played a hand in guiding GamerGate to embrace its political leanings and realize that there's a far left problem with in our society and our culture. It's why Jillian Assange said that the corruption that GamerGate was fighting against goes all the way to the top, and I believe him. That being said there was a lot of mistakes being made in early GamerGate, and a lot of people not knowing what they were doing, myself included. I think mostly everyone just wants a free market where we can play the games we want to play, and make the games that we want to make without corporate interest groups funded by Microsoft and Sony getting in the way of that. I think the main issue with the industry is its desire to embrace this toxic positivity hivemind mentality which is why you had people like Brianna Wu and Anita Sarkeesian who was thee original grifter in video games trying to insert themselves into the discussion and is why you had big tech groups trying to push them as victims of a movement that didn't really exist. Just look how they freaked out over the THQNordic AMA and saying that THQN would go out of business because of it. No one gave a shit about it and it only dominated the news cycle because the elite were worried about a potential power shift, which is why they wanted to shut us down. I'd argue that they got their way not because of any effort of their own, but because Jim Watkins shutdown the site and rebranded to 8kun as an attempt to get on their good graces, since Jim's whole MO was to make money from 8chan in the same way he made money off 2ch, which is to bribe journalists to post articles on his board in exchange for money. The whole point of /newsplus/ was to pander to journalists in order to make a quick buck, why else do you think the front page was so in depth? In any case, I think GamerGate was mostly a success, it didn't rid the industry of the SJWs nor did it solve all the issues of the current gaming elite, but it created a conversation that was borderline impossible to create beforehand. Honestly, if Sony didn't end up moving its HQ to California, I think video games would be in a much better spot then they are now. We even see it with Korea and China taking the place where Japan used to proudly promote themselves, I think the main issue is that the current establishment needs to bring in new people that aren't part of the left-wing hivemind and experiment on making smaller games in exchange for more revenue sources. Although that's getting more into general industry issues rather than GamerGate specific issues, so I'll leave it at that.
