Good daylight savings day has the most amount of car crashes in a single day every year

I've also heard there's a spike in heart attacks and a few other medical conditions on that day. People with autistic kids have reported that it causes their children a lot of confusion and grief as well.

If people are that upset about the loss of it they can adjust business hours rather than expecting everyone else to live in fantasy land for half the year.

I had a thought yesterday...

"Kamala lost because she's a WOMAN OF COLOR!"

Did she not finish dead last or close to it in the 2020 primary? Did she not drop out because she ran out of money and got precious little votes? The people whining about racism and misogyny now have absolutely no leg to stand on because they voted more for old white men in 2020. Why didn't you prop up the strong and independent brown woman so she could benefit from the 3 AM coof ballot printing? STOP MCWHINING!

That only proves even democrat voters have a serious problem of sexism and racism, child

Considering that this is somehow more devastating to the proverbial uniparty than the mutual pardon option, what's the stats community's estimated chance that this was actually coordinated between biden and trump? The mutual pardons would have been obvious on this front, while this has a level of deniability on that level while simultaneously being even more destructive.
The mutual pardons was what I had been suggesting was going to be what they might have agreed on, Its not as destructive to the Uniparty because it would be one 'hostile' president pardoning the other. It would require an overly broad pardon for both but would have left the politically agreed limits intact. It would have left Trump and his people open to more novel attacks. This one though... this goes beyond it. It was generally agreed that while a President technically can pardon anyone for anything so long as its a federal offense, he 'could not' do so for someone close to him. This is not a letter of a law thing, though, but a spirit of the law.

Mutual pardons would have kept the spirit of the law intact, Biden provides a pardon to Trump claiming "unity" and thus inoculates Trump from further legal attacks, and Trump in turn returns the 'unifying' gesture by pardoning Biden's son "in the spirit of uniting our fractured country" or some such similar shit. But doing so would leave off the table Trump pardoning his own family and would leave the J6 pardons as a fight he would need to do in the courts.

What Biden has done by pardoning Hunter from not only the crimes he was charged with but -anything- he -might- have done for a decade long period is... well, within the letter of what the President could do but an almost farcical breach of the spirit. And with it, any need for Trump to hold back with that presidential power.

Personally, I lean towards the idea Hunter forced his hand. While Joe is a -vindictive- bastard who no doubt despises the Uniparty... he still probably hates Trump too. So he wouldn't want to give such a massive gift to Trump just to spite the Uniparty. The original idea still rings more true as what Biden wants since it still sets Trump up for a massive series of legal fights and he'd get to enjoy that from the sidelines. Still, Hunter being a scared crackhead who ruined his dad's big plans one last time amuses -me- so, I win regardless.

The Hegseth stuff is more blatant than Gaetz, and it's amazing how all the co-hosts on the Fox Weekend show said they were never asked and call all of it straight up bullshit. That Meatball's name is being floated automatically makes it obvious this is some ConInc. revenge, especially when Joni Ernst, who didn't endorse Trump in Iowa in January and has been tacitly in Meatball's camp, is now acting like she's going to be tough on Hegseth.

Just say fuck it, you tried working with the limp dicks, they want to stop, recess everyone and let Elon primary the shit out of them. I'd love to see Hegseth just say to democrats "I'm sorry you, the party of supposed peace, are against me as SoD because I won't send men to die like all my predecessors, because I have tattoos instead of reading books on white guilt and white rage."

She had one artificially manufactured popularity moment with pre-printed tshirts than got bodied in the debates by Tulsi and never recovered

Maybe we should want good policy for a change instead of choosing people based solely on how much it will piss off the other side? Because that's how you get a lot of bad policy, kinda like where we are right now.

I don't get why daylights saving time is a big deal. Can somebody on each side try to convince me to their superior worldview?
It's fake time keeping that messes with American sleep schedules and requires mindfulness on two vague days of the year to keep track of. It's not universal because not every country in the world does it, so it has no mathematical basis. The days to change the clocks aren't even specific days like Dec 25 or January 1. Sure, anything connected to the internet gets updated automatically, but every device that isn't has to be adjusted manually. The reasoning justifying it is 100% boomer rambling about keeping the lights off during the war. When it gets dark, people turn on the lights, simple as.

Hour ahead or behind, pick one and stick with it.

Good morning, USPG!

I do not have a link for this because I'm listening to AM radio, but I heard from sources connected to the Trump campaign that the most recent smear attempt on Hegseth comes from a personal e-mail between him and his mother, which the New York Times obtained via a leak somehow and took completely out of context. Furthermore, the NYT threatened Hegseth's mother by saying either she comments and goes on the record, or they would publish their piece as-is without any alterations. Really scummy stuff.

When I see posts about getting rid of the department of education in America typically I roll my eyes, then I see a post like @AN/ALR56 a page or two back and now I understand the sentiment.

His retarded actions during WW1 should had been enough to exile his ass from politics forever.

His insistence on continuing the war instead of agreeing to terms, like Hitler offered in june 1940, ended with the British empire bankrupt, half of Europe destroyed and under communist rule, the UK chained forever to the US, rationing still in effect until the mid 1950s, etc.

The UK decided to kill nearly half a million of its own people and end it's international relevance because it couldn't let a fascist power take over a city that was mostly German that was under the control of a fascist power (people forget Poland wasn't a democracy, and was as antisemitic as Germany was).

Joining either world wars was a collosal unnecessary mistake by the British, who had the largest naval power until the 1930s and a gigantic empire to supply it's industry and economy, London was the financial capital of the world, British industry was ahead, you controlled Singapore and Egypt, the faucets of world trade, you had the cultural leadership of the English speaking world, you had more Nobel prizes than anyone else combined.

What did you get out of it?
