UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Well they're going to have to narrow down the suspects. I guess they'll have to look at everyone capable of travelling to NYC who was recently shitcanned in layoffs, or recently had a claim/prescription denied for a severe illness being experienced by themselves or a loved one. That should be a pretty small number, right?

I physically could not do a worse job than my current employer's CEO even if I tried so hey why not.
What is really sad about CEO/politician roles is that the only people that would ever want to do them (especially a CEO for a health insurance company) are literally the worst types of humans (example: Biden/Trump/insert geriatric politician not retiring and instead trying to keep acquiring more and more power despite being 200 years old).

The only way health insurance companies and politics work in the first place is because of people like that. In an ideal world things would operate differently, but this is what we have.

It was more a comment about how "modern life" was built by psychopathic CEOs to begin with. The foundations of everything we have today, computers, medicine, mass transport, shipping and all of that shit is because of the same type of psychopathy that this person probably had.

It might be powerleveling a bit but the CEO of my employer is a member of the Farley family... and not one of the funnier ones.
The only way I could do worse than him and his numerous gaffs is to get on live TV and just start quoting Terry A. Davis.

I don't know. I don't like seeing anyone die. I bet a lot of gamers on here would pretty upset if Gaben got shot. Maybe people should have more value for human life but that's a pretty bold ask nowadays I guess.
Gayben sells video games, you know what you're getting when you pay Valve. This dead faggot ran a company that would absolutely attempt everything to not pay out on a policy people will have purchased in good faith. I hope he fucking rots.

Eh, he pobably had life insurance, so all is well in the world.
The funnier joke will be if the life insurance company refuses to pay out.

lol I have a relative who paid into like a workers compensation insurance (it would cover if you became unable to work). They paid this insurance for like 25 years straight (they were an independent worker/freelancer so they go this insurance completely independently).

They ended up with a dehabilitating sickness that prevented them from working (early onset dementia). They filed a claim and the insurance company was like "nah".

Took 2-3 years of paperwork autism to actually get a payout.

Fuck insurance companies.

I don't understand how people have reasonable claims denied in medical. Legit hire a public adjuster or an attorney - Yeah, they skim off the top. Still, any primary carrier will settle with arbitration or some sort of settlement instead of going into a legal battle. Hell, most DOI complaints alone will scare into some form of settlement.

Killing people is bad, you shouldn't potentially throw your life away just to ice one lizard person who's just going to be replaced by another lizard person from the reptilian cabal. Real change needs to be systemic and done through the correct institutions and processes.

However, I hope this CEO got to live long enough to suffocate on his own blood and experience just a fraction of the suffering he's inflicted on the world.

All of this sounds dystopian as fuck and I'm glad I live in a country where I don't have to worry about paying for health insurance.
