Healthcare is a finicky thing because it varies person to person. I think a lot of people mess up the system because they flood it with bullshit claims of sickness, and in the US there is a cap on the amount of doctors. There are so many bad government policies that really distort the system. There's also the problem that a lot of people are really lazy and just don't take care of themselves well. Insurance is essentially subsidizing the bad choices these people (that's how insurance works in general), and the young pay the most for it.

I don't think Kotick would make a top 500 list of worst CEOs because pricks like Albert Dunlap, Ken Lay, or Dave Calhoun have ruined people's lives. Or the Bed Bath and Beyond guy whose mismanagement led to their CFO committing suicide.

excuse me for being Canadian, but this company rings a bell but not too familiar with it overall. i remember years ago of watching some documentary documenting all the scummy shit this company and a bunch others did. i'm talking like over 10 years ago. But a quick youtube looksie(after you pass the news of the CEO's murder videos), it looks like things haven't changed much

Jesus! I am now understanding why somebody would use the CEO as target practice with that kind of scumbaggery.

I almost always agree with your posts, but this man was, with no hyperbole or exaggeration, the CEO of being a ghoul. He majored in, interned in, and decided to make a career out of ghoulery. He was so successful at this task that the council of ghouls made him head ghoul in charge. He sought out and benefitted from the consumption of the flesh of the innocent and grew fat off of it. You could reach into a fantasy novel, draw out a literal cannibalistic vampire-spawned ghoul, who can devour human flesh without limit, and you’d be hard-pressed to inflict a percentage of the human misery that this guy and the company he willingly led and represented have managed to inflict. I am sympathetic insofar as I also do not like to see families torn apart, but given his wife’s absolutely tepid response, I’m sure they’ll be fine in the long run.
