I always liked Sean and I liked both The original Biggest Problem in the Universe and the early Dick Show. The show is nothing like what it used to be and it's gotten so bad that it isn't even worth the easy paycheque for Sean.

I had a Mandala moment about the vasectomy too. Null has a post on this thread from 2021 where he mentions the rumored vasectomy. There are a few other posts that mention it but they all acknowledge that this was speculation.

He didn’t have the snip, but years of decadence might as well have curbed his potential. He said on a recent show he cut back on drinking/drugs lately, that might have been related to his boost in fertility.

I'm guessing either Riley or DigiBro are getting the position, assuming the former isn't in prison and the latter hasn't starved to death on the streets by then.

Sean leaving at the same time Dick announces he is soon to be a father, sounds like some cosmic forces at play. Magi-chan/the medallion curse strikes again but not to full effect. While Dick never directly put the medallion on he has been in close proximity to the medallion for at least four hours a week (average of two hours per each show TDS and TBP).
Here are two screenshots from both his recent Dick show and recent Biggest Problem showing the medallion within arms reach. This brings the victim count up to six with Chris, Ian, Ralph, Nick, Mutahar, and now Dax all suffering some kind of crazy life event as a result of wearing or now even just being near the medallion for a long period of time.

Dick should be excited because being a new parent will give him a bottomless well of things to complain about. I have said it before but Dick reminds me of every rock station radio host who has been on air for 15+ years. When they started it was all talk about going to shows, partying, and having a good time. Now that most of them have a family and kids that has become the main topic for small talk on air. Dick had already moved from talking about bars, parties, and concerts; to talking about weekends with his family, home improvement, his dog, and other mundane tasks like doing puzzles. In the end congratulations to Dick hope this gives his life more purpose and pulls him out of his near decade long rut.

You might be surprised. Different sound quality might cause people to start thinking about what is being said as their mind might not adapt to the new voice quick enough. You're probably right. If I remember correctly, he would have a guy named Johnny fill in as audio engineer when Sean would take some time off. I'm wondering if he will try to get him back. I think Johnny had a regular audio engineering job too, so he may not be available consistently. That is, if the heat from the show wouldn't hurt Johnny's career either.

If Johnny isn't available or doesn't want to do it, I would imagine Sean knows a bunch of other audio people who could be tapped for it, even if it's just temporary. Hopefully, they're smart enough to keep their names off the show or use an alias. It'll probably be a parade of different losers until they find someone remotely competent, because being cheap will likely be more important. I imagine the complaints about audio quality are going to skyrocket. That's going to be hilarious, considering how much Dick emboldens people to be belligerent and filled with enmity in his audience.
