The irony is that United Healthcare's stock just increased by 0.92% on the day of Brian's ganking and was actually in decline in the last five days of Brian's life. Even when you kill the fuckers, their bottom line never, ever, falters.
Luckily, insurance companies never do anything that would heavily obfuscate such knowledge.
Not if you can read, of course. Legalese has its linguistic limitations.

imagine being this guy right now
Yup, not only did he have his face captured on multiple cameras, he used a hire bike with a black box to flee the scene. Also, because he's a pasty white fuck and not a Nigger/Spic, he stands out like a sore thumb in NYC. If THIS RETARD can last more than two hours on the run for murder, then there are no excuses here for anyone else who got caught in less time.

I don't know if I can recall another high profile event of this nature that seemed to bring nearly everyone together across all the typical political and ideological barriers. It's been quite remarkable to witness so many people who normally couldn't agree what colour the sky is somehow coming together in jovial concord.

People keep making this mistake - Health Insurance companies do not provide health care, a doctor or a hospital does that shit. Health insurance companies are a financial instrument/gamble on your health/longevity. They're literally people gambling on how long you're going to live or how many health issues you're going to have.
Those companies "gamble" in the same way that casinos do...and casinos are not built on winner's money.

There's some possibility that people hadn't heard of the company fully before or weren't aware of its absolute dominance and how it rejects the most claims out of any other competitor - that may explain why the price has slightly risen.
As they say: "there's no such thing as bad publicity"

The first reports from the police said he (the shooter) was hanging around for about 10 minutes prior to the shooting. Fox news has an interview with some dude that claims the shooter was hanging around the entire night: https://x.com/FoxNews/status/1864483413266256163

This possibly indicates he didn't have any inside intel or as grand of a strategy as some people think and probably just knew there was a conference and had pictures of some "key people" and went after the first one that he recognized.

I doubt that a contract killer wouldn't be hanging around for hours like that, neither would someone with heavy experience in this kind of thing. Premeditated for sure, and they for sure had an escape strategy planned ahead of time, but I don't think this was a contract killing.

You're thinking of Reagan. The reason they were shut down (there were many reasons, many economical, but this is a big one) is by the time Reagan promised to do it the asylums were mostly empty. And these asylums were empty because a bunch of court cases had been ongoing for years, where it was determined that virtually all asylum treatment is inhumane and in many cases was a rampant breeding ground for all kinds of abuse. Some of these accusations were based in reality, but rather than try to regulate them a little better, the government instead decided to open the floodgates for insane people to wander across the country or make the prison system the hellscape it currently is. Reagan was game because it was a way for him to keep his promise of smaller government, less taxes.
Fun fact: One of the studies influencing the closures of asylums came from one of G-d's chosen, David Rosenhan. If we peek into the edit history on his Wikipedia page, we can see his Jewish nature has been removed from the article in a valiant attempt to stop antisemitism.

Anyway, "the Rosenhan experiment" is the key phrase here, a study believed to have been falsified which made the asylums look bad. I've forgotten some of the details, perhaps, but I've provided more than enough for other people to do further research.

That was Bob Lee, the Cashapp guy. The guy who stabbed him did it because his sister got raped by a drug dealer connected to Lee.
It was so because Mr. Cash app was scum who fucked anything that moved and was a massive drug abuser. The sister was/is a giga whore.
Ah, thanks friend, i didnt follow that story too close.
Nah, the sister was a gigantic whore and that pissed the brother off.

The Cash app guy was scum anyway
I’ll give you a hint on insurance companies.

1. If your adjuster sends you a straight up denial you are either - 1. Retarded. 2. Got a new adjuster.

2. The adjuster you have takes about 4 hours of CE credits on ethics per year but does an ethics and morality training program once every four months. They legit don’t give a single fucking shit about not paying. If they could, they would resolve every claim paying you out. It’s not their money. They legit don’t care and want to close as many claims as possible.

3. HSA? You are legit a fucking retard.

4. Read your policy. Holy shit. It takes like five minutes. Look at your exclusions. Got a problem? Get a rider.

The only people who get fucked by insurance are the people who don’t know how it works.
Agreed although some people have absolutely SHIT insurance with a $20,000+ dollar premium to lay before any insurance Money kicks in.

Also the average person is a fucking dumbass who can't read and refuses to told the the insurance people on the phone.

I personally ayed phone tag with an insurance company once a month for three months to get a hospital bill covered.

I am sympathetic insofar as I also do not like to see families torn apart, but given his wife’s absolutely tepid response, I’m sure they’ll be fine in the long run.
What's this about? Is it the tone Paulette Thompson had during her interview with NBC News? I haven't listened to it yet, just reading the quotes.

edit: I'm also reading he may have left a candy wrapper. There's not much sourcing on these reports so take them as they are.
He's cooked. Better luck next time.

Based on the details coming out (inscriptions on bullet shells which seems like a conspiracy theory/unproven, candy wrapper, going to starbucks, leaving a water bottle behind) I don't think this guy was under any illusion that he would get caught.
He's probably barricaded himself somewhere or has made an attempt at disappearing or has already offed himself.

mao, you can flood it all you want with bogus MUH BACK and MUH SICKNESS claims but the insurance company
It's not even that. There are people who abuse their insurance, don't pay, and so those costs get pushed on to other people. A lot of healthcare demand is inflated because people go to the hospital even if they're not really sick, but waste resources getting a check up when they could use home remedies. Also, the focus on health insurance also ignores the fact hospitalization can be hit or miss depending on your doctor. Doctors more often, than not, recommend you stuff you could do yourself , or your condition is so bad (like cancer) its highly likely they won't be able to do much for you but give you false hope. All of it ultimately inflates costs, and clog up the system.
Wonder why we never get to see it
Its more so shootings are so common in New York City that I'm desensitized to it. I'm also aware of the fact gangs run New York City, and they typically have drum mags and AR-15s. Also, high profile shootings in NYC isn't unique either. A few years ago a Mafia boss was shot in NYC by some Qanon dude.
