UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

While I agree that the general sentiment of celebrating a random person's death is a bit barbaric,
There's nothing barabaric about celebrating someone's death if he actually deserved it.

In this case this guy deserved to get his death celebrated, and so do all the other US insurance firm's CEO's. There's nothing barbaric about celebrating a barbarian's death.

norm.

There's a reason the social security office and not your local doctor has armed guards
Social security offices don’t have anything to do with medical coverage. They do give out monthly checks to legitimately crazy people, disabled people, retards and the elderly. They also deny disabled and crazy people monthly checks which is why there are security guards. Imagine what ChrisChan would do at the SS office if his tugboat ceased for a few months.

Most violence I ever saw at a workplace was a social service place for the homeless that helped the mentally ill with their SS checks. The crazies couldn’t handle the monthly check so this place received the funds, paid their rent or basic needs, then whatever was left over was divided by 4 and distributed as cash once a week. They attacked and threatened the staff constantly. Cops there all the time. All because they tried to make these people use their disability checks for housing and basic needs, instead of blowing it all immediately on drugs and booze binge.

The words "deny," "defend" and "depose" were discovered by detectives on the shell casings found at the scene where Brian Thompson, the CEO of major insurance group UnitedHealthcare, was gunned down, police sources told ABC News late Wednesday evening.
I hope the CEOs of certain pharmaceutical companies meet the same fate, with "NO REFUNDS" written on the casings.

not really intending to make this political, but remember years and years ago conservatives would talk about the 'death panels' that would result after passing ACA/Obamacare?

the 'death panels' were inside the house the whole time

You left off the part where I'd said "string them up".

Only people who think this is a good thing are brainwashed leftists.
I'd like to challenge your assertion intellectually by explaining to you what bailouts are and the difference between crony capitalism and an honest-to-God free market but when I read your post the only words that jump to mind are "faggot" and "retard."

Reminding private healthcare providers, or the heads of literally any corporate entity for that matter, that if they engage in corrupt greedy behavior that fucks over their customers, we can just leave them dead face down in a fucking gutter is literally the best possible economic system and is exactly what the U.S. Founding Fathers envisioned.
I mean that certainly is one way to solve things, and is the most extreme way.

Another way would just be to have several boards of doctors (throw in a priest and a lawyer for good measure) - if your treatment gets denied and fits within x criteria, you can appeal to the board with expedited speed and if the board finds based upon the facts that the treatment is medically necessary, should be covered and that the health insurance company are just being total faggots then not only will the treatment be approved and paid for but the health insurance company will get something like a $10k fine for being faggots (that is split between the patient + government).

You of course need to have this system set up in an expedited manner because as we (or at least I) have learned with this situation: DELAY is one of the strategies that health insurance companies use to be faggots and fuck over people.

I think the idea that any stranger who's been denied coverage can walk up to you and shoot you will be extremely frightening to the next potential CEO. However, surely they will simply get bodyguards and feel basically untouchable again.
If someone wants you dead in America, your options are to either stop going out in public or accept the risk. Body guards are nice and all but consider the following:
1) There are 25 million AR-15s alone in the US.
2) The AR-15 has an effective range of 550m.
3) Back of the hand, that means any prospective security detail would need to cover roughly a full square kilometer at all times to exhaustively prevent an attack from just the most common rifle in the US.

The numbers are not on your side if enough of the public wants you dead.

(This post is not an endorsement of violence or IRL fedposting. Do not engage in vigilantism. Don't be gay and retarded.)

Events like this, and hearing anecdotes of why it's understandable, make me regret ever having been a lolberg once upon a time. All that midwit Ayn Rand drivel about "muh free markets" and "everything da gubbmint does is socialism" makes me realize how stupid I was. Lolbergs are the flat-earthers of politics.
Don't feel bad. I had the same experience. When I turned 18, I registered to vote as Libertarian. I thought their philosophy sounded so cool. "Fuck da gubbmint!"

Some years go by and I realize "Wait a minute, this is just as retarded and unworkable as Communism."

For a lot of people, it's a phase.

(It also didn't help that they often seem to devolve into "Okay, but what if the child consents?")

Yeah I didn't say bodyguards would make them untouchable. I said they would feel untouchable. If his goal is to scare the next potential CEO, they might think "oh I'll just get bodyguards and work from home so I don't get close to any strangers in public".
A bombing would make that line of thought more difficult.

This is the sort of target which seems random till it happens then it’s obvious this person would be a target. The regulatory capture of the health insurance industry is an issue between all political movements. In 2009 Anthem blue cross singlehandedly bought 10 senators so they could personally write the affordable care act in order to create a legal oligopoly and gaurenteed subsidy. Retards and schizos pick superficial targets like trump or whatever but people seeking to achieve an actual political goal pick people like this. Ted was like this. Headlines vs a goal.

I am pondering two things next.

1)Next targets. Assuming this wasn’t just a personal grudge born from a bad claim, I predict either mass media or defence. Check if washington post/nyt head editor gets a security detail soon. In “Leviathan and its enemies” sam francis describes the mass society, and specifically the mass cultural institutions which serve to manufacture consent and homogenise so mass advertising can align masses better. They are the next natural target assuming this is a politically oriented person of any superficial tag.

2) People need to quickly invent a catchy name for this shooter so he can be memetically incarnated into the psychosphere. I don’t like Ayn Rand but think of “Who is john galt?”

Here are some I can brainstorm with some friends

The Bag Man
ClaimChad
Insurance agent 47
Universal Deathcare
Subsonic Biker
Pre-Existing mortality
Call him Brian Thompson. Take his life, take his name, kill him twice.

This guy will 100% be identified now. If he doesn't have a medical death sentence already, he had better have planned an escape out of the US to a safe nation.

The only other possible saving throw he has is if there is a mass push for jury nullification to saturate the media so much that at least on person on the jury refuses to convict him.
Or he look like every single generic white dude and catch the wrong guy.

The smiling pic that has been released quite recently:

Has absolutely humanized this person and made him even more appreciated by people (even beyond shooting a health insurance CEO in broad daylight and leaving a strong and effective message behind on his bullet shells). This appears like it might be "the" iconic photo of this guy when this incident gets described and discussed in the future.

Women on tweeter are fawning over him and trying to throw their virtual pussy at him now (he is also getting compared to Timothy Chalamet in appearance). Usually serial killers and people like the Boston Marathon bomber get fangirls eventually so it is not entirely unexpected but worth noting because of how quick it has happened and how pivotal the "smiling picture" is in the public's perception about him improving even further than it was already:

(Not providing links or archives because there are literally thousands of tweets like these being made since "smiling pic" dropped)
women love him , men love him , right wing, left wing, zoomers, millenials and boomers, rural and city folk, everyone thinks he is cool.
Imagine being such a putrid piece of shit your murderer finally unites an entire nation in its most polarized time in history.

The days of the right slobbering on corpo dick are over, neo-con
I bet Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterstein are gonna cry cocodrile tears over this.

Similar to Communism, Libertarianism falls for the Theory meme of constantly talking about hypotheticals and theoretical perfect systems without addressing the glaring flaws in reality and the fact that plenty of people would just not play along with them.

Minarchism is a much better ideology to have. Small government, not no government.
