2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

Does the Lion of Damascus shave his whole body? Why is he so smooth?

Since the beginning to this present day the Ukrainians have always gotten themselves encirlced
Aside from Bakhmut where they managed to push back the flanks and eventually withdraw in good order, but sure, every other time the Ukrainians have made a stand its become a cauldron of death for them which is why the Russian army is currently sieging the encircled city of Kiev.

Syrian lira
Pound. Authorities used to not like people bring out those notes showing on one side Palmyra and on the other side industry. I imagine that currency will have be completely revamped.

Stop confusing me for your mother, I'm sure she'll show up any day now after walking out on you. I would have too if my son had been a drooling special ed babby.

Syria Happenings for 5 December 2024, Boden's Dementia Pique, ME edition:
  • The Pentagon is preparing for the possible evacuation of American units from Syria amid the advance of terrorists. Apparently the recent attack by the Arab SDF units with air and artillery support from the US forces was a complete failure.
  • Hezbollah offers help to Syria: Group’s leader has accused the US and Israel of supporting jihadists in Syria and called on Arab nations to support Damascus. Hezbollah will help Syria fight back jihadists and is calling on Arab countries to support Damascus in its battle, Naim Qassem, the acting leader of the Lebanese militant group, said in a speech on Thursday.
  • قائد عمليات تحرير الدونباس بالقوات المسلحة الروسية يصل إلى قاعدة حميميم في اللاذقية على رأس مجموعة من كبار
ضباط العمليات البرية و الجوية و الصاروخية الروسية.
    Translation:
The commander of the Donbass liberation operations of the Russian Armed Forces arrives at the Hmeimim base in Latakia at the head of a group of senior officers of the Russian ground, air and missile operations.

Things are about to get very spicy while zogniks do this:

STALKER CHILDREN I AM NOT LOSING, it is YOU who is losing! ZOG is winning, Assad/Putin/YOU will hang! ENJOY prison stalker child!
:story:
I expect a prompt bullet point report explaining how Assad is winning. Maybe, it's all a feint. Assad is looking like the one who will hang after a fair trial, no international justice faggotry and a Norwegian cell with PS5. Assad's grandpa Ali was himself something of a supporter of zionism seeing them as a counterweight to the Sunni masses in the ME. and wrote a letter with others praising the Zionist settlement in Mandatory Palestine.

Your coping in this thread is 'STALKER CHILDREN I AM NOT LOSING' patposting delusion. You looks upset. Don't shout at your cats.

Preston Stewart with a good overview, particularly and gives a simple run down of the presences from Kurd, CMO of which HTS is the biggest part who are leading the insurgent advance, the Turkish supported SNA who aren't, more like piggybacking to the apparent chagrin of Erdogan, the more marginal US backed SDF, US bases, Israel in the Golan, shadowy Islamic State presences in the east - a common enemy to almost all parties. It is noted by him and others that CMO. Another point to be noted was how the main opposition carefully wooed tribal leaders and other leading elements. State workers are urged to return to work and police officers patrol Aleppo. Religious minorities are assured they will create a coalition and . The organised nature of the occupation is nearly as impressive as the advance. This was long planned. Preston does take care to note that forces passing through an area does not necessarily equal secure occupation, but there are clear signs of local support or acquiescence. He discounts the idea Hama was evacuated out of concerns for civilians given unhesitating attacks on civilians. Even Tartus (Russian naval base) and Latakia (Russian airbase) are moving towards being threatened. That said, Tartus is not being evacuated, just vessels headed out on exercise and some cruise missiles fired at HTS and allies. A notable point is that Assad forces are leafleted to surrender have been well enough treated. This is a contrast to Islamic State. The basic thing to note is that the Assad forces are just falling apart. Bases are taken with key intel like sand models of Assad and opposition positions. Expensive systems like T-90s are just abandoned and taken. 6 compared to Ukraine's 12 captured or an S400 radar system. A notable thing also is HTS rolls in with aid, signs regarding services with QR codes erected, police deployed. Notes in particular how Hizbollah, Iran, plus Iraqi Shia allies and Russia aren't doing too much. Perhaps they've discounted Assad as a bad investment. Al Julani is talking in terms of dissolving HTS to aid a transition. Urges Iraq not to allow aid to Assad. Al Julani appears to have moved from his past. Gender segregation in public is not enforced. Seems to trying to pull over forces into his coalition. A question is now how the regime forces will be treated. A possible Afghan outcome is becoming possible. Dying for Assad seems ever more pointless. A question is what Iranian organised Iraq militias will do, perhaps move north if they enter Syria and notably Turkey seems inert enough.

Tom Cooper / Sarcastasaurus emphasises that CMO (his name for overall insurgent force) is not a Turkish proxy, while the more marginal SNA is Turkish controlled.

Alright screenshot this the SNA or SDF wont take Russia's air base or naval base. If they do with physical proof online that they did I will be a bigger Russian anti than the Jews on the pro-ukraine thread. Main points for this confidence.

is there some reason other than their general autism and retardation that vatcopeniggers keep confusing this thread with a pre-partition hohol war thread?

If Assad falls (I still think it is possible he can force a stalemate at Homs and preserve his rule for now), the lesson for wypipo of whatever geopolitical or ideological persuasion is not to bother to intervening in any third world, brown or N country ever again and especially not the Middle East. Whatever oil reserve, air base, geopolitical advantage or moral concern a politician thinks is important is not worth it. We should have ended "white man's burden" when colonialism ended. Whoever tries it for whatever motive ends up failing. The Russians have tried this at least twice now, counting their attempt in the 80s with Afghanistan, and America has tried it with Iraq and Afghanistan. Plus Russia had the Chechens, where they basically had to ally with an Islamist faction to "win" and those were white Muslims. Or just look at Iran or Lebanon, even the Shias want theocracy over whatever secular system we can come up with. Even in Turkey, where the secularist founder is seen even by the religious as a messianic national hero, the military deep state weakened and they elected an Islamist government first chance they got.

Looks like the hajis really want sharia law and not secularism, whether its Baathism, postmodern gender studies, blue jeans and McDonalds or whatever else, and they're willing to overcome technological-advanced great powers just so they can put their women back in the kitchen (good for them). It's not like Ayrab women are expressing much gratitude for our interventions anyway, if they wanted us to care that much about their "freedom" they should be giving every hu-whyte man a complementary BJ when he arrives in their country.

If we have to deal with them again, just nuke them. Oh, and also, close the borders and stop letting them in!
After ww2, muslims should have been next. Sadly...

Sincerely, a roach.

Inshallah, Assad will be beheaded after being pulled from a sewer, like Saddam and Gaddafi before him. There's no room in the plan for anti-zionist Arab rulers.
Holy fuck Hasbara, can you go one day without being a bloodthirsty psychotic. No wonder everyone sees your country as being filled with vile monsters.

Lots of people online cheering the results, they got rid of the dictator, without really addressing how its going to escalate if/when Assad's power goes.
Again, tomorrow's problem. Kicking Russia out of the Mediterranean and breaking the Iranian backed Shia crescent is today's problem. And it's not a minor problem either. Russia has been belligerent and aggressive in attacking NATO interests, such as dunking on French interests in North Africa to the obvious big one in Ukraine. Iran for its part has been a massively destabilizing force. Kicking off a major war with Israel and attacking international shipping through the red Sea.

Amorphous "tomorrow problems" that are undefined simply cannot win out against the "today problems". The threat of evil johadis attacking the west ten years from now from a failed syria falls flat in the face of Russia and Iran attacking the west from Syria NOW.

Wait, there are still Kemalists in the Turkish military? I thought Erdogan purged them all with that big fake coup a few years ago
No movement can be eradicated. Not all, some are too useful and irreplacable, and arent raging atheists. These muslim ones are nicknamed Green Kemalists.

Can we just internationally declare that the middle east is a designated PVP zone and send all retards, crazies, and niggers there? It's basically the case already but all the retards, crazies, and niggers are missing out. Think about the kino. INCEL STATE vs ISIS. Bloods VS Crips but with tanks, the Brony civil war. Ethan Ralph vs Everybody.

A chance to heal the wound that has been festering for ten years is worth some risk.
If it doesn't work out, so be it. The cause is worthy and their leader is competent, whatever his ambitions.
A Syrian ruler named Ahmed Sharra wouldn't be the worst. We will see whether the jihad is woke enough and the Assadists weak enough to permit that future.

Alright, let's assume that the offensive all of a sudden ends, even though we haven't yet seen the SAA show much in the way of managing to seriously resist this thing as of yet.

This is still really fucking embarrassing for Pro-Assad forces. Seriously, they had damn near five years to dig in and strategize a defense in case hostilities enter a hot phase again and they lose two cities that are massive in both population and strategic importance in a week? This shows the SAA is still the SAA of old, and unfortunately for Assad, big daddy Putin is a bit too busy in Ukraine to bail his ass out again, so if his ass isn't going into exile or be Gaddafi'd, the SAA is going to have to do the heavy lifting this time.

"Attacking the west from Syria" lol. I don't think Russia is in Syria to attack the west, anymore than Turkey or the US are there to fight terrorism.
But sure, tomorrows problems...which I would bet on today.

On with the news to not make this place look like another pro-Ukraine hugbox thread.
I am starting to think you are this sprinter guy. You keep credulously posting his excrement no matter how wrong and deranged it is. He's literally like those Japanese propagandists crowing about every American defeat that inexplicably kept happening closer and closer to the Japanese home islands. At this rate, he'll be showing how powerful Russian air strikes and counter attacks by SAA forces have halted the HTS advance in the Damascus suburbs.

Wagner shoots at US troops stationed to defend the rigs all the time.
The Syrian Naval and Air bases also help Russia project into Africa. All that shit that cost the French billions of dollars and led to the Coup a Palooza last year would not have been possible without them. Have you noticed that deafening silence in all this? Its the French, not calling for a cease fire and negotiations. They want Assad to swing too.

oof I can smell the weed and patchouli through the screen. Take a bath before talking to me, you stink like an ancient hippy.
I expect a prompt bullet point report explaining how Assad is winning.
Yet you niggers are all "ASSAD IS GOING TO BE HANGED LIKE SADDAM" on the first day this broke out. Sounds like projection to me.

There is no reason to accept as 100% true claims from either side in these type of conflicts as they are happening since often (actually, almost always) they're fake news. I'd give the smoke and dust time to settle then get a summary from a trustworthy source instead of acting like its babby's first ME tour.

Also I see all you and the thread weed addict have is personal attacks because not only can you not refute what I posted, seems you're upset Ukraine already said Russia can keep the territory it has and is begging for negotiations with Russia directly, to the point you are cheering on Al Qaeda because they might kill a few Russians, showing your true colors.

Absolutely disgusting. Supporting the terrorists that killed thousands of American civilians and thousands of American soldiers over the Ukraine losing.

What a weird relationship these 2 countries have going on. 1 supports Assad the other supports the militants.
Turkish politics are as Byzantine as the country they conquered. That said, while the Turks are definitely involved, HTS is not strictly speaking "their guys". "Their Guys" are the Syrian Salvation Government. Which is that shaded area north of Aleppo that is clashing with the SDF atm. That are basically the remnants of the Syrian National Council that was the sort of ad hoc government in waiting that represented the various groups back in 2014 that had their shit pushed in by Assad, Russia and Hezbollah.

HTS originates from the Al-Nusra Front, which itself originated from Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, responsible for some all time bangers like the Sunni insurgency against the American occupation of Iraq. Which is why the USA has been less then enthused about this group being the one to seek the mantle of rulership and seemingly on the cusp of getting it. Of course, Jalani is no Al-Baghdadi. The dude has clearly put alot of thought behind what happens if his group actually wins. Case in point, rather then just summarily executing all the Police and Traffic Guards in Aleppo along with the municiple civil service, HTS has instead told them they are free to come back to work under the new rulers, no questions asked. Salaries preserved. Which is a new one for an Al Qaeda origin group. They are probably trying to take a page from the Taliban, though its also possible Jalani is trying to become a conquering Caliph in the traditional, whereupon the supremacy of Islam is central, the religious minorities are not purged like what Salafists like ISIS do but are instead permitted to continue with their business. Just prohibited from public preaching and so on.

That last part however make every rainbow I am to receive for it justified. But just to put some visual context into what I am talking about...
QR.jpg

They are putting signs like this up all over the city, and I am now on a list because I checked it out. Its real. It connects to a whatsapp group of all things, that allows locals to connect with the group to receive information on civil services and events.

Clearly Turkey backs the militants, US backs the SDF, Russia backs the SAA. Turks want to fuck the Kurds (SDF) with Russia. They let the Russians use their airspace and even asked their militants to accept Russia's request of getting Syrian military officers back to the SAA's side. None of us know what kind of agreements the Turks and Russians have made but I doubt its negative. If NATO and Russia were the boyfriends Turkey would be their bipolar girlfriend. Too many variables going on in this war but I don't think the agreements made with Turkey and Russia would put Assad in trouble if he returned to his country, maybe the SDF instead would be the worries. I am pretty sure the Russians have some kind of intel they provided to Assad to return to his country of what they are dealing with like when they either chose to retreat or outflank the Ukrainians in Ukraine.

I definetly know Turkey would be put on NATO's shitlist for 3rd place behind Russia and China since it gets a little problematic when a country wants to be a little more, "independent" in their choices.
