General Wrestling Discussion

This would be gay as fuck unless the very next entrant is Hardcore Holly, who potatoes the fuck out of him before dumping him out on his head.

Imagine the pop...

Or, just spitballing here, have Maven come out and maybe eliminate a lower card guy for a pop, only to have the very next guy to come out be Taker who proceeds to immediately toss him out.

I think Maven's been a Rumble Surprise once or twice already?
Listen man. I don't know what kinda spooky medical tech they got leftover from Unit 731. All I know is that they live to 100, and are allegedly able to perform full brain transplants.
there was also that time A-Train got a poison gland implant during his time as Lord Tensai

Ya jus gotta

that's the next evolutionary step in body modification
the problem is that he's not oriental so he can't properly use a poison gland to spit at the opponent, he had to spit into his hand

if you freeze frame the Lucha Bros unmasked Fenix def shows some chinaman in his face, so that must be why Penta can use his poison gland properly (and occasionally for fire)

I wasn't really watching when Lord Tensai was a thing so I don't actually remember this, but I'm not at all surprised that a guy whose first gimmick was named after a dick piercing would still be into body modification several gimmicks later.

Yeah, I'm not really trying to advocate for guys like the ones you listed above. Just saying that they were able to influence things like title reigns, etc. and it wasn't just ham and eggers like Shane Douglas.
Jeez, ol' Shane is taking a beating here, lol. I really liked Shane in ECW. Shane's problem though was a shitty attitude. Sure, the Dean character was lame, but so were all the other characters the WWF was doing at that point in time. With the right attitude, Shane could have gotten it over. He could have evolved it over time to align more closely with the Franchise character. That's exactly what he did his first few months back at ECW, a blend of both gimmicks, and it was pretty good.

I'm talking about his entire tenure, not just as Dean Douglas. I just never thought he was that interesting and his only real claim to fame was a moment (throwing the belt down) where anyone who did it would've gotten the notoriety. Like, what made the moment so 'epic' was the act itself, not the guy who did it. This is evidenced by him doing literally nothing else of note outside of that small blip.

Oh, and I guess getting kicked out of an episode of RAW where he tried to do some shit from the audience. I think he and Enzo Amore are the only ones to have that distinction.

the "poison gland implant" was dumb IWC headcanon I recall liking because they never really bothered to explain why he sorta spit poison now.
