General Wrestling Discussion

the "poison gland implant" was dumb IWC headcanon I recall liking because they never really bothered to explain why he sorta spit poison now.
Hiw do they hold that shit in so long in the ring does a ring guy like slip em a bottle or something during a camera cut or something?

that's fucking stupid
how would you hold POISON in your mouth an entire match

I think I heard it's a capsule they palm, break open and swish around with spit

Exactly what it is. There's a Muta match in WCW where you can see the ref very clearly slip him a capsule before he spits.

I'd also heard some dudes would take something like a piece of latex glove, or even condoms, and fill em up with the colored water then just hold it in their mouths until the mist spot.

Three separate injuries from the men's WarGames match last Saturday just shown on Smackdown. Bronson's broken foot looked nasty as hell. Jimmy's broken toe was a bit gnarly too. Kind of sad that Bronson is now out for the foreseeable future. Hopefully he's back by Mania, but broken feet are a bitch.
Maybe it's time to stop doing big spots and using weapons in the match. Was Punk being careless when he hit Tonga Loa with the tool box?

I wasn't a fan of the big spots in that match. Reed's spot was actually good to continue building him as a monster athletic heel that will stop at nothing to break his opponents, but the risk that was involved should have prevented it. The spot from Jimmy was more impactful for the match and he had the better move to do that spot.

As far as the tool box goes, Phil was being incredibly sloppy with his hits. None of those tool box hits looked particularly good and the ones laid out on Tonga Loa weren't even convincing. Phil looked gassed and old during that entire segment. I'm not sure I'd call it being careless on Punk's part; he's clearly turning heel and why wouldn't a heel defend himself with a weapon in a match like WarGames? I think if the spot had been with a chair or kendo stick, it would have gotten a better reception.

woah there kid, Ring Veteran Punk knows what's safe and not, and you'd better listen to him

Remember that time he injured himself in AEW jumping into the crowd during one of his entrances?

And of course the dipshit won't use either painkillers or roids to keep working when he gets hurt because some punk-rock straight edge nonsense is more important to him than actually being a pro-wrestler. I've tried so many times to give Phil the benefit of the doubt but he's just an utter fucking dweeb who takes himself too seriously.
