I guess there are 3 theories that I didn't really see mentioned here. All 3 of them require that someone hired a professional assassin (or someone, like ex-military/police who was willing to do a one time job and knew enough about pretty much gold/diamond-tier opsec to leave basically no traces behind as the killer has pretty much succeeded in doing in this exact case).

I'm only sharing them here because I've seen them discussed elsewhere and they're at least interesting.

• Brian hired a hitman to kill Brian. There's a TV interview where some guy says he may have done this because he was in too deep, or because there was life insurance he wanted his family to have. It could've also been that he felt guilty for his role in making the world a shittier place. It could also have been that he was being extorted or blackmailed somehow and this was his out.
  • It could also have been that he was trying to make changes at the company to move away from being total faggots but was being prevented from doing so and self martyred himself (before anyone lols at that line of thought, there is some indication he was trying to focus more on preventative care than other things)
  • It's important to note that Brian's compensation package was apparently quite low compared to most CEOs in the industry
  • Another possible line of thought is that Brian was being used as the fall guy for some giant scandal and knew this was the case
• Brian's wife hired a hitman to kill Brian. They were not living together at the time of his death and according to some leading expert on tweeter apparently it was weird and proof that she did this because she flew into NYC upon the news of her husband being shot to death (?) Leaving aside that, I guess its about as viable as any other theory at the moment.

Now the above theory I guess does seem somewhat interesting given the timing of when he was killed (right before there was not only a conference, but a conference that he would be speaking at). The only thing that kind of fucks it over is the messaging left on the bullets has resulted in a serious threat to other CEOs and a downturn in the market - but that still means it could've been a competitor or someone trying to get the stock to dump so that they could buy more.

That's a big if though - he might have like a thousand 3rd cousins on there, but the guy isn't a serial killer or terrorist who just blew up a building.
There's plenty of criminals that they have the DNA of but still can't properly identify them.

Over enough time, sure there is some risk that one of the guys closer relatives has their DNA scanned and they find out who he is or get closer to who he is, but just having DNA + fingerprints is nowhere a guarantee that they will ever find the guy with any speed at all.

Look up the golden state killer and how he was caught they’ll absolutely use forensic genealogy to get him if he left DNA this Is a Very high profile case after all.

Speculation: Maybe someone was trying to warn other UHC employees & CEOs not to rat. It is ambiguous enough to make people think it was some disgruntle client. But also worrying that the other executive staff might not want to risk it.

Doesn’t matter if they got his DNA if he’s not in the database, and the average American (so far) is not. DNA is only magic in police work when they have crime scene DNA and a warrant worthy suspect to collect DNA from to compare it to.

At best they could use found DNA against a genealogy DNA database and hope maybe his great uncle is on it. If some relative is on the DB they might be able to narrow it down to him in a few weeks or months, because that is some seriously tedious shit.

The more I look at this, the more it really bothers me. I don't like vigilante bullshit. Everyone hates this guy (the health insurance industry is evil. Well all know friends or family who were denied things or paid some obscene amount for an ambulance or something basic). But we don't know anything about this guy.
