Possession and production of child pornography is one of the most serious claims you can make about a person because it involves real human suffering and it's definition should not be muddied by angry people who want to see Klurf artists hanged. Unless Shmorky drew Klurf porn of Lowtax's kid, he has not broken any laws. (Though I have no idea how to think about Shmorky's chatlogs legally. I'm sure there's something there, but it'd have to be an accusation from the person affected at this point IMO.)

The only things I was able to find was it's not explicitly illegal unless there's outright sexual acts being written out, which Shmorky was VERY careful to avoid until @carefully was 18. While the diaper shit really toed the line of being not-smut and not outright grooming, the chatlogs are in the clear unfortunately.

I think it could be used as damning evidence if they caught Shmorky smorking a kid in real life, but without any big crime to get him into trouble, I think legal problems are out of the question. So I came here mostly to rip on Movie Blob, but this Shmorky thing is so fascinating and repulsive that I just can't turn away, like watching a trainwreck where the carriages were transporting medical cadavers.

I was never a big Something Awful fan, even back in the day, and I have no real knowledge of Shmorky prior to this meltdown, but listening to recordings of him makes me wonder: how legitimately mentally ill is he? I mean, that is transparently a phony voice that he's adopted over time, and yet never does he drop it: not when he had that hideous blowup with his ex, not when he makes this phone call from the psych ward, never. That's either a serious commitment to a fake identity above and beyond the usual, or he's really that fucking nuts.

I don't know what kind of help, if any, he's getting at the psych ward (like most of you I think he's much more likely to be lying low and the suicide attempt was about as genuine as a three dollar bill), but I'd give real money to know what trained psych professionals would make of this creature.
