It’s likely the assassin was a disgruntled patient or a relative of the patient who knows enough about guns but isnt autistic about it.

He probably fashioned a makeshift suppressor or bought one off someone and attached it to his gun.

Also a professional assassin like what happened to Jamal Khashoggi would attempt to cover his tracks, like a change of clothes at the very least is what you would expect from a John Wick-type of assassin.

It's an interesting video and while the host gave the standard disclaimer saying he doesn't support what the shooter did, it still came across giving pro life tips for future assassins. It's not like you're going to grab a suppressor when you're using your firearm for self defense, so mentioning to be sure to use a booster with your suppressor is more less saying ''here's how to do it better the next time.'' Though its not like it would have made much of a difference in this case anyway...The shooter might have wasted some time having to pull back the slide, but he got away, and would firing more shots in faster succession have killed the guy even deader?

If he had some sort of terminal illness he might have not tried to escape or hide his face as much. If he felt he was already dead he probably would have gone even harder. The Hotel was hosting a full ass meeting of C-suits and big shots from UH after all, he could have gone in and done cleanup.

I agree, even if he didn't personally know the CEO, his actions still seemed very personal. I'm thinking he maybe had a parent, sibling or grandparent stricken with some horrible illness, who need treatment that might've saved, extended or improved their quality of life, and were denied coverage because their health insurance company declared it " experimental".

The more I look at this, the more it really bothers me. I don't like vigilante bullshit. Everyone hates this guy (the health insurance industry is evil. Well all know friends or family who were denied things or paid some obscene amount for an ambulance or something basic). But we don't know anything about this guy. Maybe he had no idea what was going on? Maybe he was a psycho who was making crazy amounts of money off claim denying policy? The outrage machine feels weird on this, and the story/narrative was fucking instant, but we don't really know a damn thing about him.

I like your line of thinking. I don't want to go all Alex Jones saying its fake and gay but something does seem fishy about writing those words on the bullets. It's actually a predictable facet of American society and public discourse. The reasonable and (mostly) legal method of dissent is tried -> Government suppression and failure -> Escalating unfairness due to a smug sense of invulnerability -> violence breaks out.

Not in America but it's neighbor down south is pretty bold about their sicarios and people who may as well be called hitmen being that everyone in their town knows what they do when they head to the big city. And keep in mind that this particular CEO kept a very low profile to begin with. I didn't really do a super extensive search but all I really found was his LinkedIn which he last posted on more than a year ago.
No one has really found video interviews with him - he didn't post anything personal on LinkedIn, literally just posted PR-speak bullshit about his company.

Thompson may not have been personally targeted. The investor meeting was happening at that hotel at the time and the shooter may have just decided to hit the first obvious VIP he saw coming out of a limo and walking to the venue. Maybe there were valets carrying umbrellas with the United logo or something to give added confirmation of who was there for the UHC event. If it was a targeted hit it seems like it'd be extremely difficult for the shooter to know where Thompson was staying and when he should stake the place out to catch him. I'd also expect him to go after Andrew Witty the #1 guy if he wanted to take someone down in particular. Unless Thompson was actually hit by UHC because they were afraid he'd turn state's on them.
