UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

The more I look at this, the more it really bothers me. I don't like vigilante bullshit. Everyone hates this guy (the health insurance industry is evil. Well all know friends or family who were denied things or paid some obscene amount for an ambulance or something basic). But we don't know anything about this guy. Maybe he had no idea what was going on? Maybe he was a psycho who was making crazy amounts of money off claim denying policy? The outrage machine feels weird on this, and the story/narrative was fucking instant, but we don't really know a damn thing about him.

I saw this in another forum and it's your standard crazy take: the whole assassination was fake. I think .. that's insane, but he does make a lot of really good points. It's worth reading (attached to to the post too)

Saw this too (skip to 4:10 to jump past all the news junk)

Guy makes the suggestion this will be the start of reforming healthcare into something even worse and crazy more sinister. Think about how fucking fast the video came out. This about how fast the narrative was spun. In the above video, he talks about the shell casing with a fucking book title on them. It's all very crazy.

It feels manufactured.
A lot of you niggers work in health insurance...and it shows

LMFAO Internet armchair investigators are not going to rat him out.
Really doubt they have any clue who he could be in the first place, considering the police have taken a chunk out of central park to get anything they can about our ghost of NYC.

I've been toying with an idea that following Trump's election, they might come to understand that politicizing public discourse is dangerous and instead focus on numbing people with as much escapist entertainment as possible. Movies will have attractive people again, in sci-fi and fantasy settings that bear no resemblance to reality. Rip out all the trannies and feminists from gaming, start funding actual creative people to create virtual worlds so immersive you'll never want to leave your chair again.
They're going to have to bring down prices for groceries and essentials as well. Circuses hit the wrong note when there's not enough bread to eat. Or heating fuel and electricity. Or well-paying jobs. Or houses.

Goddammit, we're really pretty neglected, aren't we? No wonder we're getting stabby.

No. He can't die yet, there's much more work to do.
I just hope he remains a ghost.
An eternal bogyman to an elite CEO. Knowing that they have to have security up their ass forever, that they will never have true freedom, because at any moment. Shot to the back.
They want to be evil cunts and use the lobbying and legal systems to their advantage to screw over a little guy. Well they never get to go to Starbucks alone again. They never get to slip out for a quick cigarette alone. Because he is out there. Waiting, watching.

It's interesting to me how people like Jack Poso and Whitehouse Staffer, two Twitter accounts on opposing sides of the spectrum are both really interested in identifying this guy.

It's almost as if the people paying both their wages feel threatened
To be charitable to poso. It's possible he just doesn't want the concept of assassination to be normalized. That shit will blow back everybody if it becomes popular.

It's why the Soviets in the Soviet-Afghan War targeted civilian centers since they were often suspected of hiding anti-Soviet forces.
Little has changed, I've seen ziggers on these very boards argue that any residential building in Ukraine is a legitimate target for artillery bombardment, because anyone inside could be conscripted into the Ukrainian army.

next month when there's a nuclear meltdown on a nuclear submarine they will also suddenly become nuclear engineers
Funny you mention that. NR just locks the scram breakers of any crew they deem too retarded to save the reactor from nightmare scenarios, and the core can melt without ever cooking through the reactor compartment with the way subs are built.

Yeah. It's why effective counterinsurgency actually relies on you winning the hearts and minds of the civilian population not because of humanitarian reasons but so that they won't harbor insurgents and would inform you about shit like roadside bombs being planted in which particular location etc. Destruction of civilian centers like the London Blitz have ironically galvanized the civilian population against the invader.

Do you think they'll take him in alive when they find him?
Hard to say. If he's never found, they might punish a patsy in his place to put us plebs 'in our place' because the little people getting ideas about doing away with their betters... that can't be allowed. If they do find him, I believe he would die 'resisting' arrest, because managing to cap that CEO is something people want to hear about, what his reasons for doing so were. They will look weak if he just slips through the cracks like a ghost and never gets caught so the higher ups are probably planning how best to punish the impudent plebians for this while liquid shit dribbles from their cracks.

This is all a prelude for the Jews to assassinate Hassan Piker and be able to say it was for the working class and the betterment of humanity
Jews rocks. We must secure the existence of our people and a future for Jewish children, because the beauty of the Khazar Milkers woman must not perish from the Earth.

It's not like you're going to grab a suppressor when you're using your firearm for self defense
Suppressors have a lot of use in home defence scenarios. Shooting a gun without ear protection makes your deaf. Keeping a suppressor in your home defense weapon allows you to defend yourself without reaching for ear plugs or going deaf

There's been no more news that I have found at this stage.

"Internet sleuths" cannot dox someone like this. There is literally 0% chance right now someone on the internet randomly finds a cookie crumb trail - simply because there isn't one to find. Any of these faggots on TikTok trying to act like they're professional doxers are retarded and lying about their level of skill.

My theory right now is that this wasn't necessarily a "professional hitman" (like someone who does this regularly) but someone who perhaps took a decent amount of money from an aggrieved person to do this (or perhaps even a person with enough money who hates the healthcare industry) or they did it on behalf of someone who asked them to do it (i.e. a relative whose wife died of cancer). It could even be corporate espionage or something similar also (and the wording was just a red herring). That or he was a part of a group who have some sort of manifesto or cause they're trying to enact.

I say this because the level of detail, planning, patience and everything else with literally zero fuckups can only really mean that this guy wasn't personally emotionally invested in this (maybe he agreed with the "politics" of it though on a personal level). Someone asked or paid him to drop those bullets with those words written on them. Just look at his total lack of reaction after the shooting, the way he is walking methodically through all CCTV shots, ditching his phone and everything else that is known so far. On the videos I've seen of him on the ebike after the shooting there is absolutely zero urgency in his actions.

Having the wherewithal to act completely rationally and not be impacted by the huge amounts of adrenaline (or even guilt) after shooting someone means this guy has certainly killed before.

Someone who had an emotional investment I am almost certain would've fucked up at some point or done something further to "make a point". This was cold, hard and instant. The guy was out of the city within an hour - into a bus depot and the police still can't even figure out where he went from there. He not only used typical anonymous methods (cash, burner phones) but knew enough about the exact types of transport to take that could totally obscure his destination from the police.

The fact that there is video of him being on a phone call 15 minutes before the killing took place (he may have just been pretending as some have said here, but I don't buy that for a second) means he most likely had some form of outside help/information and its possible this CEO's phones/devices were hacked to give away his location - there are markets for 0day exploits for phones and people will pay for those exploits.

Not to derail the thread, but some people are saying that Elon is afraid that he might be next and now Elon uses his kid as a shield because Elon takes him around wherever he goes now

These are probably the same people who hated on Elon for not spending time with his other, now trooned son. I'm just amazed that there are people who try to turn a story towards someone else just because they have a hate boner. I'm not an Elon fanboy, but if you're going to hate someone, at least do it for a non petty reason.

Elon and several CEOs were already afraid of this kind of scenario before this happened. There are things Elon has said in the past that indicate it. There are also things that many of the "super CEOs" have done that indicate they worry about this kind of thing becoming a regular occurrence (that is because they know it is an inevitability - this is sort of a Terminator 2 scenario where you travel back in time to stop something happening but it is going to start happening anyway)

The general problem with people cheering this on is that it can become a slippery slope and it can become one fast - first its the health insurance CEO that almost no one can find much sympathy for and then it progressively gets worse. Ransomware groups generally targeted huge companies early on and had policies that they wouldn't target healthcare companies - they ended up targeting UnitedHealth and would've caused thousands of deaths due to months long delays in people getting care.

People harbor an irrational level of hate for Elon Musk in particular, but if I were a betting man and I were betting on our future as a species, I'd much rather than Elon be doing his thing and be deeply involved in electric cars, space flight and whatever else than people who just find a way to figure out the cost at which its ok that someone gets denied essential medical treatment.
