1. If troons were capable of just ignoring someone without dragging 5,000 people into it and loudly announcing that so and so is to be unpersoned , blocked, and punished with distributed social rejection ..they wouldn’t be “giving Le Kiwi Farms Trolls oxygen” as they like to describe it.

While I’m on the subject: BPDs “split” on people , in the same way that victims of sexual abuse , violence, and trauma [probably a good 80% of the people inciting this shit on bluesky] have black or white thinking. They’re not capable of saying “I don’t like this thing you said.” Instead, it’s “I don’t like you.” So you committed a leftist misdemeanor , used the wrong hashtag, had a profile they didn’t like, said something someone didn’t like- whatever / “they don’t like you and you must be shunned and everyone else must shun you too.” Bluesky will fail. Spectacularly. If they continue allowing these people to indulge in these whims and take it out on people , even people who didn’t interact with them at all.
2. If bluesky wasn’t so ban/suspension happy, these blocks and ignores and moderation lists would be effective , because that person would likely continue using their account. And people could block or mute or moderate it. The utility of this ceases to exist if the accounts gone and they are off to the races to make a new one. So the cycle continues and repeats and now instead of having one problematic account that they’ve dispensed with, blocked, or moved on from: they’re now doing it with that person 10 or 30 or 50 times. Do they think this through? No.
3. I’ve done some experiments to get on shitlists. And I can tell you that when you get reduced to the maga troll “own the lib” corner of bluesky. I don’t mean conservatives. I mean people who are there to just spew and spew and spew and spew and spew. Nobody asked, but im not a maga, I did however put an exploratory #maga2024 in my profile just to see what would happen. Even though I didn’t say anything unkind or engage with anyone inappropriately it took about 6 hours to get silo’ed in with all these other accounts that were. it’s an angry miserable fucking oubliette and I’d rather be on the normiefaggot troon side of that divide. So their system is effective. But pointless when they remove people so freely and giddily that they can’t be put into the troll zone.
You ever see the “heaven banning” thing on Reddit (which is said to be fake. But interesting)? Well on bluesky it’s like “hell banning “ to be stuck in the hole with those accounts. And you’ll get put there just for voting the wrong votes or using a disapproved “hashtag.” Why would a person with good intentions and behavior, who was placed into this oubliette , subscribe or pay or continue using the site in a positive, constructive, or polite way when they’re reduced to, lumped in with, punished as if, and surrounded with trolls? So they’ll all delete or leave on their own fast. Leaving not much else but those trolls so it’s a self perpetuating problem. It’s another way bluesky will seppaku. Jay Graeber will learn this the hard way.
Final rant: dialog on bluesky will be forced and inauthentic because everyone will be terrified to be shunned and shoved into that oubliette. We are having the problems we’re having in our society right now because people have gotten used to “my way or the highway” , icing people out or banning or unperson’ing them or shoving them in an oubliette over petty differences. This stuff gets celebrated. You won’t solve problems if people are scared to talk about them or only say what you want to hear. Yeah I know they’re done “talking” and would just as soon you died if you disagree with them. But they’re like this with their families and their closest “friends” too.

When can we officially say Bluesky is Mastodon 2.0 that had a few months and then back to Elon's X? I'm seeing a lot of deadening on talk about it. Really, you just can't open a short form media site and last that your only upside is being a hugbox banfest, and that's all these are.
The main people I saw about it on X talking about it were clownfish (on noes, it's sooo bad) and thequartering. I'm thinking those might have been grifts, directly, and not so much being stupid to advertise a deadend platform to hope for some residual back hate watch on their own stuff.

Can we just forbid Jack Dorsey from starting any new tech product ever again? I do know plenty of profiles here in Brazil opened accounts on Bluesky after our Supreme Court banned Xitter for a while, with many believing the change was definitive. Once the ban was lifted, they all came back to le ebil Muskrat's platform for far-right incel chuds and still get excellent traction and visibility. No word on whether they still use Bluesky, but it is highly unlikely they get the same stats.

I only know two users with Persona 5 profile pictures and usernames on this site. One is notorious for exposing Ethan Ralph as the delusional loser he is, to the point he even mentions them on his streams. Other than that, I have no idea either because I have never played a single Persona game in my life.
