Just have to put this somewhere in the void. I guess I got what I expected, but after half a decade of top performance in a decently senior position I thought I would ask my company to publicly denounce a lot of the rhetoric that has been said about trans and lgbt people since it's a decent portion of their employees. No response, get shuffled out a few weeks later for something on paper. Turned down their severance. Guess the lesson is don't value too hard in one direction. I would cry since I was trying to form a bit of identity there, but instead I'll just take this and the lesson to continue to not trust anyone with me in life. Anyone else in the corporate world? How are you hanging in there since we're back to a national debate?
This is unbelievable. There is no way a simple, polite request would lead to severance for a senior position with five years under his belt and where the employer tolerates his troonery. It’s expensive and a pain in the arse for the employer to sack and replace senior people. It’s much more likely he was underperforming anyway, and a request made in an obnoxious manner was the last straw. Either that or his position was genuinely redundant,

i just turned 20 last week! i’m currently in a long-distance relationship with a cis man, he’s sooooo gay for me lol. He is 21. We’re planning on moving in together around october of next year, to a city that neither of us are really familiar with in my state.
anyway, i’m planning on starting T (again, i started when i was 18 then had to stop due to Lore) around the time of the move. For context, my boyfriend is a large, hairy, 6’4 man, and i am a chubby 5’4 guy. I’ve recently started saying that i’m not pre-t, i’m pre-bear, and he just cracks up when i say it, and makes stupid jokes back.
i’m gonna marry this man. it’s gonna happen. i’m going to visit him in february for a week and i think i’m gonna propose. he makes me so happy and validated and i love everything about him. every time he dorks out about something i fall in love with him even more. he texted me when i was at work yesterday “10/10 burp just now” and i immediately thought that this is my soulmate.
i can’t wait to start the bearification process with my bear husband in our own apartment. our bear den if you will. i love this man with my whole heart. i can’t wait to spend my life with him.

i’m 19, autistic, and trying to get a diagnosis for a laundry list of physical symptoms. i didn’t go to college. i moved to a different state in a very rural area to live with my grandmother a little under a year ago, as my home situation had been extremely toxic my entire life and it was just getting worse.
i worked in childcare through the ymca from the ages of 16-18, and i don’t want to ever do that again. it’s pretty much my only job experience outside of my current job. i currently work at walmart as a cashier/service desk person and it’s killing me. i’m in pain all the time and i don’t have the mental bandwidth to handle the people aspect of it anymore. i really only got the job because i needed the money and they were hiring.
i only have a highschool degree, and i don’t know if remote or low-key jobs exist that don’t require a higher ed degree. i don’t know how to search for jobs like that.
are there organizations out there that specialize in helping autistic/disabled adults find a job that won’t be terrible for them?
