I forgot to add this to the screenshot yesterday when the OP compared the healthcare ceo dying to that lawyer that killed that climate protester. And again i don't know anyone, not even right wingers upset about the ceo dying.View attachment 6725195

Remember when they ask this they tried to pass off someone nearly killing the president as him being scared of loud noises popping off.
and you know they would be celebrating if he didn't turn his head at the right time
they're not your countrymen, much less your friends

Lots of video from Trump in France today, meeting with world leaders and seems to talk well with Prince William:

Thought I remembered 2016-2020 in hindsight, but damn it's night and day watching Trump interact with dignitaries compared to Biden. That one where he shakes everyone's hand and says a few words to them is both respectful and how an American President should act. Really looking forward to all the clips from various international events during his next term, especially the Olympics and the 250th anniversary of independence. Hell maybe we'll even have that military parade Trump always wanted :story:

Trump has the rizz, makes the DOCTOR look at him like he's Doug Emoff and Ashley looks like she wants to write about him in her diary:

Trump then went to the UK embassy to hang with William, it seems all eurofags are trying to outshake the man but he will not be moved, then just chills out on the sofa talking about how you need to push all the illegals off the cliffs of Dover. I know Harry has been corrupted by the strange, and it could all be just a performative lie but it feels like William has seen too much and wants to make things the way it was when he was young, the britain of 1995. Especially with Starmer being such a fuckup so quickly, and Charles theoretically could call for new elections himself but it would be too much of a break in tradition:

Anyone notice gas prices dropping lately and what it might be related to? Both me and a friend of mine noticed 20-30 cent drop per gallon on gas when it's remained stable or climbed before the election.
Its possible it's happened before and I just didn't notice but curious if I missed something.
Where I'm at, gas prices actually rose after the election, and stayed stable since.

Gas has been consistently at $2.50(+/- 20c) in my area since summer. Feels a bit... weird actually.

Dropped from $2.80-$2.90 down to $2.64 in this region in the course of the past few weeks

Choose a different insurance company. I've seen most people use united cause it's a bit less premium a month. In the end, everyone wants single payer socialized medicine singe payer cause people (folks) are all faggots and idiots that can't actually do math.

Nobody ever has been forced in the US to us any particulate insurance company. Period, it's YOUR idiot fault for paying less like the do on car insurance for progressive and whaaa, they don't pay as much whaa?

Oh noes, the united health premiums suck?? Better kill the CEO or demand socialized medicine oh noes
Unless you have the money to pay for your own insurance plan, most people get what they have through their employer. Doing it this way is significantly cheaper and employers only offer one provider. This is also complicated by how the employer structures the plan - there are many, many different ways that a company can handle insurance. It also depends on the type of insurance offered, e.g. HMO vs. PPO.

What kind of plan do you have and who is your provider? I'm interested.
People have been waking up this morning to find that their medical claims are suddenly being paid.View attachment 6726439
It should not take the murder of a CEO to make this stuff happen. What health insurance companies should realize is that they made the bet that Americans paying for their service would not get sick, and that's a bet they have to pay if they lose.

At the end of the day, what is so frustrating about health insurance companies is they are the biggest fucking welchers ever. I posted this in the thread about the CEO's murder, but my car insurance will give me something if my car shits the bed. My wife and I pay out the ass for our home insurance because we have it maxed out - and you bet your fucking ass they will pay out if something happens because it's in the policy. What health insurance companies do is take people's money and do legal and rational pretzels to not pay out when the customers need it.

So many people in this thread, myself included, have stories about health insurance companies not doing the right thing. We can all accept that they're still a business and we can all acknowledge that people do try to commit fraud, but that does not justify or excuse massive health insurance companies doing shit like not covering a hospital stay for a child the day after life-saving heart surgery.

Assuming this is real, one of two things has happened: one very good, the other not so much.

The first is that people who don't care about that extra penny on the profit margin, and actually want to help people have now gained control; and are acting accordingly. This is overall a good thing if true, shame it took someone throwing their life away to get revenge for it to happen.

The second option is the people who do care about that extra penny are still there, except now their scared their gonna end up dead because they fucked over that one in a thousand person, who simply doesn't care anymore and just wants revenge. This is bad because these people are the same soulless, don't give a shit about who they hurt, types they always been. Who are only motivated because of the fear. Fear goes away with time, and when they look at the money their paying out. Meaning this will be a reoccurring problem.

Not that I'm all torn up about some shithead CEO getting removed, but how many men are going to watch a loved one die because some insurance didn't want to pay out, and decide being a killer is better than not.

I understand Zelensky still wants to do the “wartime President” shtick but he looks so ridiculous here. Like why bother showing up to this event if you’re going to be dressed as a middle aged vet strolling around Costco.
the basic gimmick was a good idea, but yeah he sorta painted himself into a corner with it

Violence is never the answer in a civilized society, but this does not change the fact that it is still highly effective.

Trump's best weapon is his charisma. His enemies can all talk how he's literally fucking Megahitler, yet they'll all have pictures laughing with him shooting the shit because he's a charming man.

The solution would be to allow people to buy Medicare/Medicaid in every state, but also allow them to have options to buy private insurance to fill in the gaps. Regardless of what healthcare system you have, it's not going to be free. The goal should be to lower costs by giving people more choices. You could also remove the congressional cap on doctors, allow people to buy healthcare across state lines (you'd have to repeal the ACA to do that), and stop allowing states like California to give illegals healthcare to lower costs too.
And of course, healthcare ultimately does come down to people's personal decisions too. People who are obviously are obese, and smoke cigarettes all the time, shouldn't expect cheap healthcare. Insurance companies should absolutely consider those things.

It's already in the works apparently for the 250th anniversary

This list is so inaccurate it's extremely funny

The empire of the Roman Republic did not start in 260 BC

The Roman Empire did not end in 180 AD

The Ottoman Empire did not start in 1320 AD or end in 1570 AD

The Russian Empire did not start in 1682 AD or end in 1916 AD (close on the last one though! Good for you Glubb Pasha)

The "Greek Empire" did not end in 100 BC

I don't see the Parthian Empire there for some reason (oh because it lasted 471 years)

Or the Sassanid Empire (oh because it lasted 427 years)

Or the Byzantine Empire (oh because it was a major power for ~500 years and lasted another ~400 after that, and if you want to get autistic it was a major power for ~1000 years and lasted another ~400 after that, if you include when it was the eastern half of the full Roman Empire)

Etc.

The empire of the United States did not begin in 1776 AD

Glubb should have stuck to getting his Jordanian forces btfo by Jews
Read the essay. An empire doesn't always mean it ends. The UK didn't cease to exist because the empire ceased to, it's just the decline and slide into reduced relevance. He's also using the term empire in a way that's defined in the essay, it has nothing to do with what a state calls itself. The United States is one of Glubb's empires.

I know people on here don't read shit but, if you haven't read the essay and don't understand how Glubb is using the term empire, I wouldn't comment on it, because you don't know what Glubb's talking about. Just being a major power isn't it, the "Byzantines" had been in decline from their height under Justinian for most of their existence, if you want to separate them from the Roman Empire. They were a major power, but they weren't THE power.

I have read the essay. It's garbage. Glubb's definition of empire is garbage. I could lengthen or shorten his periods almost at will based on periods of decline and revival inside his chronological boundaries, or extend those boundaries, or narrow them, because his definition is arbitrary and based on bullshit

Don't awkshoolly me ty

Because well awkshoolly the "Arab Empire" was defeated at Tours in 732 hurr durr and never regained the apex of power it was at that before that battle hurr durr the "Arab Empire" was awkshoolly only 100 years :smug:

The Romanov Empire that started in 1682 awkshoolly was only ~120 years then it ended because Napoleon thrashed it a bunch of times and the Romanov Empire post-Napoleon was awkshoolly a different Romanov Empire hurr durr :smug: never mind that there is no reason to arbitrarily pick 1682 when the Romanov dynasty began in 1613, and there was no great discontinuity between 1613 and the Rurik dynasty that started in 862 but really only started an imperial history connected all the way to 1917 with Ivan III kicking out the Golden Horde in 1480. There's no real reason to not say that the Russian Empire started in 1480 rather than 1613 or 1682 except Glubb's autism for his pet theory of ~250 years for empires

If your empire offishully starts the moment it becomes the preeminent power and offishully ends the moment it isn't, you know what I'm just going to say that's silly and only goes further to prove Glubb didn't know what he was talking about. The Romanov dynasty was not ever the preeminent power in Europe or globally even once during the entirety of its reign, guess it was never really an empire awkshoolly :smug:

I am NOT looking forward to the eventual TDS victims of the world in 2025-2028.

>2016 happens, NPCs shocked, their programmers unsure how to continue
>2017-now it’s just attack attack attack banzai jeronimo deus vult
>2024 happens and 2016 happens all over again
>2025-?? Will it be kamikazees and super-Hollywood Hulk Hogans given meth and Ritalin to shit up every possible social media space?

In 2016 they were relatively quiet, their command structure hadn’t issue their NPC updates because they themselves were still processing what happened. The same thing today in 2024. The powers that be do not know yet how to tackle the Orange other than 8 year old tactics which ultimately did not work.

This is all speculation but how annoying and insufferable will the new year of TDS be? They can simply give up and bow out gracefully from social media. But is that likely?

I don’t think they will be violent. I think they will go after low-hanging fruit and cancel the hell out of certain individuals.
