PBS are huge pussies who are afraid of mean comments so I'm posting their video here where we can post mean comments and they can't censor us.
I'm so fucking sick of the "No stalker child, prices are fine, we did not exponentially increase the money supply. It is you who is suffering inflation. Enjoy prison." shit.

Hopefully they can completely defund the CPB so NPR and PBS don't receive any taxpayer money.

This is all speculation but how annoying and insufferable will the new year of TDS be?
It will be insufferable and extreme, but judging by the way people voted this election, everyone is sick of hearing it.

Like every abuser, they will escalate their abuse, probably crying louder and increased threats to unalive themselves, but we're all in the "put up or shut up" stage of that particular relationship.

At a time like this, feel free to liberally (ha, ha) abuse the phrase, "along the tracks, not across".

At least HHH is consistent and funny.

TDS will never end so long as MAGA exists. I expect TPTB to start going after any Trump successor.
And I expect it to be 2060 and these types will still say “conman! Convicted felon! Grifter!” until the nurse gives them cranberries or whatever to placate them in the nursing home

Sounds terrible, but really isn’t. If the election meant so much to you, act on it. I didn’t see “Trumpanzees” killing themselves after that horrible week in November of 2020. But I did see enough confirmed reports in 2024 of trannies doing it to note that it wasn’t a random pattern

I just hope these people calm down when they see more economic opportunity and prosperity. I am treating them like mentally ill children, and they’re not, but some of them act like it.

“Kumbaya” has as many syllables as “lol calm down”

and there was no great discontinuity between 1613 and the Rurik dynasty that started in 862 but really only started an imperial history connected all the way to 1917 with Ivan III kicking out the Golden Horde in 1480. There's no real reason to not say that the Russian Empire started in 1480 rather than 1613 or 1682 except Glubb's autism for his pet theory of ~250 years for empires
Lmao yes it was. The Romanovs weren't even Rurikids and became tsars because the Patriarch of Moscow put his son in charge. And then they weren't even Russian because they went extinct in the male line. Romanov Russia constantly looked toward the West, turned the Russian Church into a branch of the government, and got themselves colonized by Germans.
The Romanov dynasty was not ever the preeminent power in Europe or globally even once during the entirety of its reign, guess it was never really an empire awkshoolly
They rewrote the entire map of Europe and the Middle East when they alone refused to give into Napoleon's Continental System. And then did it again in the Balkans decades later. It took almost all of Europe to restrain them in the Crimean War. The very threat of their rapid economic growth forced Germany into making a subpar move in 1914.

No wonder cunts like you are in full panic mode over what is happening. Russia is not advancing any better despite throwing more people into the grinder, Assad will be gone and so will Russia from their Mediterranean access, Georgia is almost in Maidan mode ready to overthrow their pro-Russian government, ruble is sinking and the biggest bank in Russia might go under....
See it's you who are coping.
I'm not in any panic mode, I see the reality and news of what is acutally happening, not whatever those nafo fags post on twitter or bluesky or whatever hugbox they are using now. The Ukrainians are losing on all sides, they have mass desertion and their holdings in Kursk are slowly being eroded. Russia is advancing on all fronts at a speed never before seen during the war.
The protests in Georgia are dying off as most people realize that the government was elected fairly and have the support of the majority.

Little Z-man is so pathetic running around trying to suck up to trump hoping he doesn't turn off his cash machine. Z-man should worry more about the fact that his "military" is approaching Volksturm level of professionalism. The average age of the hohol soldier is damn near 50 years old.

I understand Zelensky still wants to do the “wartime President” shtick but he looks so ridiculous here. Like why bother showing up to this event if you’re going to be dressed as a middle aged vet strolling around Costco.

the basic gimmick was a good idea, but yeah he sorta painted himself into a corner with it

The guy is so pathetic, he's licking the shoes of anyone who will give him money. He's almost to the point of sucking dick in mens rooms to get anything he can get since his military is getting their ass handed to them.

"Schmerdering."

A part of me wants to be skeptical but I'll wait on the increase in approved claims and other stats later. However, I do believe that the death of one of their own is what would drive it. The ship's sailed long ago when you started rewarding the >schmerdering of citizens with increased control while giving the perps a slap on the wrist a la ANTIFA, BLM, Muslims, illegals or any other group that's been given carte blanche. You don't have to teach Americans anything, they've already watched and learned.

When violence is always the answer for some yet never for others, don't be surprised when people choose it anyway.

Edit: Less than 100 pages until Peanut's.
Honestly the real lesson here is that for decades insurance companies refused to do the service they were paid for and refused to actually follow their own contracts. If one CEO getting iced changes that and scares these scumbags into actually doing their job and not scamming people, then fuck it. They’ve killed countless people by not giving them the coverage they paid for anyway

lmao no there wasn't. No one considered the Russia of say 1625 to be a discontinuation from the Russia of 1590. It was still Russia. Same thing for the Russia of 1650 and that of 1700. It was still Russia. Oh Peter the Great decided to bring in cultural and economic precepts from Germany and farther west? It was still Russia. Only spergs centuries later think that it was really two Russias, or three Russias, that were so disparate it requires some very sharp dividing line

Ummm Great Britain greatly resents such short shrift given to their Napoleon sperging

Oh so now the definition isn't the preeminent power, it's 'influenced the backwater that was the Balkans and gave the British the vapors about the Mediterranean (and ended up utterly failing to justify those vapors), then forced a power greater than they were into a subpar move (then spent the next four years getting absolutely buttraped by that power to the point that they collapsed)'

Okay sure smdh it's not like Russia wasn't a great and important country but it wasn't the most important and greatest country to ever country there's no need to suck off their stinky beet-stained toes like this

Anyone notice gas prices dropping lately and what it might be related to? Both me and a friend of mine noticed 20-30 cent drop per gallon on gas when it's remained stable or climbed before the election.
Gas in my area has consistently yo-yo'd between $2.60 and $2.85 for the last several months, so I haven't noticed anything. But I live in an area with gas that is generally cheaper than gas in say, California or Illinois.

I am NOT looking forward to the eventual TDS victims of the world in 2025-2028.

>2016 happens, NPCs shocked, their programmers unsure how to continue
>2017-now it’s just attack attack attack banzai jeronimo deus vult
>2024 happens and 2016 happens all over again
>2025-?? Will it be kamikazees and super-Hollywood Hulk Hogans given meth and Ritalin to shit up every possible social media space?

In 2016 they were relatively quiet, their command structure hadn’t issue their NPC updates because they themselves were still processing what happened. The same thing today in 2024. The powers that be do not know yet how to tackle the Orange other than 8 year old tactics which ultimately did not work.

This is all speculation but how annoying and insufferable will the new year of TDS be? They can simply give up and bow out gracefully from social media. But is that likely?

I don’t think they will be violent. I think they will go after low-hanging fruit and cancel the hell out of certain individuals.
In 2017, Trump hysteria was very good for ratings. By now people are already getting sick of it and tuning out, and won't fall for the same tricks again

I have read the essay. It's garbage. Glubb's definition of empire is garbage. I could lengthen or shorten his periods almost at will based on periods of decline and revival inside his chronological boundaries, or extend those boundaries, or narrow them, because his definition is arbitrary and based on bullshit

Don't awkshoolly me ty

Because well awkshoolly the "Arab Empire" was defeated at Tours in 732 hurr durr and never regained the apex of power it was at that before that battle hurr durr the "Arab Empire" was awkshoolly only 100 years :smug:
How is it garbage? The broad point Glubb is making is that states that become empires effectively have about 10-12 generations of explosive energy in them before they start petering out. He even points out that some empires, like the Babylonians, don't make it, usually because they slam into another state with that kind of energy. The Umayyads were beaten by the Abbasids in the 750s. Amusingly, the Fatimids made it 270ish years. The Byzantines had multiple cycles, typically with significant internal changes, the Empire of Justinian wasn't the Empire of Leo III wasn't the Empire of Alexios I. Also, amusingly, 1204-1453, given that the later Empire was basically a successor state of the Empire of Nicaea. There isn't a uniform end state, some empires die violently, some just shrink in power and influence. If you're Roman, you get a second go at it, but do you really want to argue the post 180AD Roman Empire had the same energy and drive it did under Augustus? Are you going to sit there and tell me that America has the same drive and energy today that it did 250 years ago?

I'm pretty sure what he noticed was mostly about cultural and population changes than border changes. The British Empire is an interesting one, because I'm fairly certain it was the product of the English's accidentally eugenicsing themselves in the 17th and 18th Centuries and making staggeringly effective human capital. For awhile, their top quintiles were out reproducing the bottom ones.

larpers I tell you, always the most annoying

All this empire talk reminds me of a quote my cousin once told me

”everyone thinks that if society collapses they will a new great hero, that will bring about a new rome. In actuality if society did collapse those same people would be the first to get shot”

basically the most gung-ho people will most likely the first dead.

Some interesting articles from my favorite DC rag, The Hill:

TDS will never end so long as MAGA exists. I expect TPTB to start going after any Trump successor.
And I expect it to be 2060 and these types will still say “conman! Convicted felon! Grifter!” until the nurse gives them cranberries or whatever to placate them in the nursing home

Stephen King and Matt Groening are still assblasted about Nixon winning 68 and 72 literally 50+ years later. Communists and socialists everywhere who were alive in the 1980s are still malding over Thatcher and Reagan (even when amusingly enough their definitions of progressive liberalism have moved so far they are deepthroating corporate cock harder than those two were back in the day) and to quite a few millennials the GOP is still owned and controlled by Evangelicals and Bush style Jesus and Jingoism in their heads to the point they spent this entire election cycle screaming about abortion even though it wasn't even top 5 issues.

It will never go away, the true believers will never stop.
