Most silencers have pretty short lives. The more you shoot the more they are damaged by the exhaust and the less efficient they become.

He 100% made one himself, and given how well thought it all was I guarantee he didn't bother to make it a long lasting professional quality for 100+ shots. He only really needed at most 10 shots so a suppressor that held for those 10 is all he needed since it would be discarted and destroyed anyway.

Something simple as a big pipe, a smaller pipe, holes on the smaller pipe and some padding to absorb the gasses made from fiberglass insulation or steel wool or some shit and that is it. It would be easier than even a slamfire shotgun. It would only last about 5 shots before the padding inside got fucking nuked and the entire thing became worthless but hey: did it's job!

If I had to speculate I'd say it's a Polymer 80 with a home made suppressor and the need to manually cycle was both known to him and possibly intentional.

He clearly wanted to escape and not An Hero himself, manually cycling the slide would drastically reduce the noise and it wouldn't be immediately apparent to people a gun had been fired.
