How weird is it to go to a kid's school Christmas play?

The kid is not yours, obviously. The kid is in Middle School. The kid specifically asked you to go. Also, it might be pertinent information or not: you are a woman, the kid is a boy.
I'm trying to avoid being a creepy adult who goes to kids' plays. But, he asked me to come, and I want to just show up, see the play and support all the kids, and leave. His Grandma can't make it, so I can't just sit with her. I'm pretty sure there is a fee to get in, which helps fund the art program at the school.

If you are a woman and don't have a cock people will be less wary of you. If you don't act suspicious then people won't care. If it's a big audience, then noone will notice. If it's a small one, just be honest when asked.

Sounds like going to a store and trying not to look like a shoplifter.

If all else fails, I can pretend to be your husband and we can pay a few kids 5 bucks each to call us Aunt and Uncle. Or maybe you could dress up as Santa.

If the kid wants you to go and no other of his family can make it, you can go under the role of a guardian. Just make sure you follow the same dress code as the other parents which is usually formal clothes for expensive schools, and for public school would be regular outdoor interaction clothes that aren't overtly sexual.

Anyway, it’s fine, it’s not like you’ll have a sign on your head saying NOT THIS KID’S MOM. Nobody’s going to bat an eye. If they ask just say exactly what you said, his grandma can’t make it so they asked you.
