McDonalds - I'm Lovin' It

I'm actually amazed people are even tasting those egg pucks at all. To me it's just plasticky egg white; it's the biggest reason I hate their breakfast so much. Well that and it's a genuine rip off in terms of price.

Got my first McRib in years yesterday, I swear to god they cheaped out on the buns now, over half the meat was hanging out the ends

Pretty sure the McRib has gotten a lot smaller over the years. I had one in the early 2020s and I'm positive it wasn't the exact same product I first had even back in 2007.

Sounds less like the McRibs and more like one of those frozen rib sandwiches you can purchase at Sam's Club.

Same here. The last time I had was before the McDonald's at my local Wal-Mart shut down. It was subpar. Far from what it was a few years before that. I can't imagine how bad they've gotten now.

Mmmmm... previously-frozen pork patty cooked on a flat-iron grill, steam-marinated in BBQ sauce, and served on a toasted bun with onions and pickles. I really need to get one before they're gone.

Supposed to?

You've never done it in your life and you're here telling me it's bad.

Why? I have no idea.

Next you're going to tell me I'm not supposed to microwave cold lasagna.

Just try it. It's pretty good. You have nothing to lose.
You yellow retard, McDonald's food has a shelf life of the moment it goes cold, it's inedible

TBH That's what the McRib always was and people who get it more than once should just get a dollar store rib sandwich and add toppings to it themselves. At most have a McDonald's barbecue packet to it.

There's a reason why I only ever bought it once and never again; since it was not worth the price it actually should've been and I've eaten them before in cafeterias and cheap microwavable meals.

You'd be better off getting a decent bun and a Costco fake rib, slather it in Sweet Baby Ray's, and maybe some onions and pickles at most. Ta da, McRib with a better bun.

I used to buy it every few times it came back, only to realize why I hadn't ordered it in so long. "Oh, this is shit, that's why." Finally the lesson stuck.

Maybe unpopular opinion. The Arch Deluxe was actually pretty good. I think the reason it failed is they decided to market it as "for adults" (it's a fucking hamburger) so turned off the largest part of the market for hamburgers. Weirdly they still have a bunch of overpriced items called "Deluxe" in the name that suck and are usually worse than the normal version of the item.

It's not completely true, you can microwave it. You can microwave the beef burgers as well. It has a good effect on the cheese.

If you're ever about to throw away cold food in the future, maybe give it a shot. You don't have anything to lose at that point.

Anyway, another Saturday night, another delicious decaf coffee with cream and sugar. It's really satisfying, I can't recommend this enough.

Everything this weird dude just said is absolute insanity.

McDonald's anything turns into absolute garbage minutes after it's made. If you are re-microwaving McDonald's shit, goddamn, bitch, grow some taste buds, nigga, that is not shit to you, your shit is fucked up if you think that's edible.

I agree with you that it turns bad minutes after being made.

As far as whether microwaving it works well, we can agree to disagree, but I still get the impression that those criticizing this just haven't tried it. I guess it's just that gross of an idea to most people.

If you think my opinion is weird and crazy, please don't let that impact your opinion about the decaf coffee, which is really great.

TBH this isn't completely insane, at least with Mackers' burgers. A mcdouble or double cheeseburger revives decently in the microwave due to how cheap they are. The patties don't really get any worse from the effects, and the cheese is about the same; weirder texture but also melts more consistently. The only thing that tastes worse is the bun since that's how bread do. I've been okay with nuking these if for some reason I get them cold.

The fries and nuggets are where letting it get cold fucks you. It's specifically why it's a fool's errand to ever try to revive them. Hell, I believe the chicken nuggets are just ass even when fresh; it's always dry no matter what.

Also at the rate they nickel and dime you, it's better just to make your own slop or pick somewhere else if you're actually splurging.

he's not wrong, its best eaten fresh, if I really do have to microwave it for whatever reason I do the bare minimum as to make it warm again, like 5-10 seconds at most, otherwise its going to taste like utter slop

That's all fries. Eat fresh while they're hot.

Microwaved cheese is nasty. Only do so if it's a last resort.

According to early McNugget training videos, McNuggets went into in the warming bin after being taken out of the fryer, and can remain in holding time for up to 10 minutes (for ordering) but had a max -total- time of 30 minutes. I assume this rule still holds true today.

Unfortunately, between managers who are constantly bitching about food waste and mouth-breathing retards who can barely work equipment, your average McNuggets have probably already been sitting out far longer than 30 minutes.

Not true, I kind of actually hate the Five Guys fries even though they're served hot, and even though they're from good potatoes. There are too many of them and they just throw them on so the bag is so greasy it's disgusting.

I generally just ask them not to put them in. But if I do end up with them, they're actually okay if you take them home and deep fry them again until they're actually crispy.

The only McDick's worth patronizing have a huge line that moves fast. They're serving so much shit that nothing is sitting out.

That's where those fries with a 10 minute lifespan are worth getting and eating immediately.

I don't think McDonald's prices are going to change any time soon because of the increased minimum wage, but I'd hope the dollar increases in value and they continue these low price specials.
