People forget when Obama started throwing money and giving air aid to the last Syrian government to help keep them in power as soon as Israel says they feel threatened by the moderate rebels. Which is why the short-lived US, Syria and Russian coalition. Knowing Israel, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the rebels as an excuse to drag the west into a new conflict.

Fren, when I was a soldier at Camp Cropper in Mahmudiyah, I slapped post it notes on the faces of Sunni Arab tribals so I could keep them organized before ruining their lives.

I learned a valuable lesson from the second gulf war. Governments are shit, but they can only be shit with the help of the men with guns. Like myself. But I have no regrets because at the end of the day what I did I did for America and it's people. If that isn't what they wanted they should have been more forceful in saying so. Soldiers are weapons wielded by the State. Ask not why they do what they do. Ask instead why they were told to do it.

Assad led a shit government. He was propped up by the Russians as part of their murderous campaign against European and American interests. The soldiers of Russia and Assad committed unspeakable atrocities against humanity and now they are held to account.

Putin really sacrificed two of his allies (Armenia and Syria) to Turkish backed forces because he wanted to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of soldiers for a couple oblasts in Ukraine.

To properly rebuild, Syria needs as many physicists, doctors, engineers, and architects as it possibly can get.

That’s why all the refugees need to go back so they can enrich Syria just as much as they have enriched Europe :story:
