Lol it's not hopiun it's the actual facts. Hohol troops are up and leaving their positions on the eastern front. It's why the Russians are advancing so fast. Ukraine has long lost this war, the question now is how much territory does Russia get.

Syrian rebels have entered Tartus and are on their way to Latakia. The Alawite minority, which supported the Assad family, will not be putting up resistance nor will it try to create an independent state on the Mediterranean coast.


The situation in Syria as of 15:00 Damascus time.
  1. Most of Syria, including Damascus, is under rebel control.
  2. Assad has fled and abdicated, Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali has had the courage to stay and is making arrangements to hand over full power to the rebels.
  3. Russia is in contact with all the major rebel groups, with whom it appears to be discussing the future of its bases in Latakia province.
  4. The US will not withdraw from Syria and will continue to occupy the At-Tanf area and the north-eastern part of the country.
  5. Iran is reducing its military presence in western Syria.
  6. Israel occupies part of Syria near the Golan Heights and declares it a 'closed military zone'. It also attacks abandoned SAA depots.
  7. Hezbollah withdraws its units into Lebanese territory. The Lebanese army reinforces border security with Syria.
  8. Iraq continues to move armoured and mechanised brigades towards the border with Syria. Hashd Shaabi units have also been observed there.
  9. Turkey intends to eliminate the Kurdish presence at least west of the Euphrates in the near future (Manbij and adjacent areas will be occupied by the SNA). Areas east of the Euphrates are also under threat.

Well the Ukraine war has taught everyone 1. They know when to retreat when the situation calls for it. 2. they keep surrounding the Ukrainians constantly in pincer attacks or outflanking them in all sides on whoever has seen a Ukraine war map before.

I think it was my foolish mistake to assume the SAA were anything like the eastern europeans in the Ukraine war. Even the Serbs put up a better fight lasting a good amount of time against NATO

Bashar al-Assad was a fucking RETARD who had to have his ass saved by Iran, Hezzbollah and Russia.

When those three have him ~80% of the country he did nothing with it besides loot it and smuggle drugs for nearly 5 years, letting the army rot away.

Meanwhile, Johnny Rebel was working HARD for 4 years straight and took careful notes and figured out what worked and what didn't and trained hard.

They then started and operation to push the line of contact back a few kilometers in Idlib province and ... It went a LOT better than expected.
