For the longest time I thought Synecdoche was just a silly community inside meme. I think it was only a year or two ago I found out Synecdoche was his first forever review. I don't think anyone outside of people who watch YMS know Synecdoche, New York is a movie, he doesn't have the luxury to focus his thimble of mental effort towards a film festival entry only he cares about.
The moment he realised he was slowing down progress on the lion King review out of mental exhaustion he should have swapped to one of those as a mental break. Or anything else to avoid the state we are in now where he's too fixated on completing something he's incapable of paying attention to for any length of time now. If he'd just taken a few months off after the first one he probably wouldn't be in a situation like this where he's probably better off abandoning the project until he feels any motivation or enjoyment towards it, however long that takes.
