Burt has vowed to turn his life around. He is giving up sex work and plans on getting his implants removed. He says his time on the show has made him aware of his personality faults, and he intends to work on them. He is currently in the process of setting up an appointment with his psychiatrist.

Sam Hyde has saved another life.

For a season that I thought would end in a psychiatric hold or stabbing, this sure was a wholesome ending lol.

Gold Burt has been activated for real? Perhaps this was the real good ending for him.

We'll see if he actually follows through with these promises, but he's not as far gone as Alex B. There's still a sliver of hope left.

For audio, they can have the Big Brother way, have a mic on each contestant, but with an incentive like a fishbuck every 5-6 days if they stay mic'd up during active time.
On basically every other reality show that has contestents in a large house (Bachelor, Love Island, Big Brother etc), all contestants are mic’d at all times. I don’t know why the wiggers don’t do that. Unless it would interfere with the audio relating to TTS or something. It’s baffling.

No doubt about it. Other than letting dudes face fuck him and stuff, Burt is not nearly as destructive as Alex. I think in normal society, Burt is deviant but functions. Alex is prone to drug addiction and surrounds himself with leeches. Alex is only a few safety nets away from homelessness.

Voting is retarded because it leads to nontent fish staying and disruptive fish getting voted out. As someone mentioned before, they should do it the Hell's Kitchen way, have the fish vote then make production pick between the two most voted, or just make it seem like they're going to pick between them and then just kick anyone, as Gordon Ramsay would sometimes kick people even if they were not nominated.

Alex is also one more retarded outburst or death threat away from getting arrested. Didn't he threaten Sam with a pistol he wasn't even legally allowed to own? Sooner or later monkey king Icarus will fly too close to the sun.

Burt's biggest problem is him being a sex pest. Not even autism is an excuse for that but his sex drive will go back to normal if he ever gets off TRT or whatever the fuck he was taking that made him extra horny.

Yeah it’s the best of both worlds to be honest. Since they fish wouldn’t know how the cards will play, they can/will still strategize but nobody would feel completely “safe” either. Like I know Binx played a good game to get Simbal out and was a big instigator in getting people to vote a certain way but she definitely felt “safe” the entire time, at least from getting voted out by the other fish. For voting to work there has to be stakes for all involved. Nobody should feel 100% safe.

This would be true if voting was 100% unrigged. I think one could argue the threat of voting leads to content. Remember how Alexis and Laron, two mediocre at best Fish, chose to steal Mizzy’s candy? That in turn lead to Mizzy waking everybody up, which kept the audience engaged out of rage. And eventually this would lead to Luke grabbing Simbal and shoving him out of the room in what is perhaps the most iconic moment of the early season next to the Hulu gaslight.

The threat of voting also established Simbal as the ideal antagonist after he stole Ted’s candy. This in turn made Alex rage at him and the first true rivalry of the show was born. We’re looking at voting in a vacuum here and assuming Production won’t do anything to get the Fish somewhat active. Things like the Hulu gaslight, promises of immunity, and Production get on everyone’s ass about being far too friendly pushed against the desire for Fish to do nothing.

With properly placed immunities, some rigging, and a fundamental understanding of what makes a Fish good and who to prioritize during votes I believe elimination based voting could work. Although it’s probably not maintainable towards the latter half of the show.

The first vote of the season was very effective in making content. It was only after every social dynamic was completely derailed after the introduction of Frank when it had no point in existing anymore. Introducing such a hostile threat makes the Fish and the audience stop caring about any past threats, and instead they shift into a kind of survival mode where they try to not bring attention to themselves. Remember the pure hatred everyone had for Simbal in the first few weeks? That all disappeared when Frank arrived.

Suddenly we went from the pageantry of the Ian elimination—nine days of build up, Hulu gaslighting, and plot coherence keeping the audience on the edge of their seats—to the Mizzy elimination. A completely rushed and uncaring elim with no tension because everyone just came off of Frank and five days of cleaning. The house landscape had changed, so applying voting as if nothing had changed was delusional.

The problem with voting someone out, is the fish are incentivized to be non confrontational with one another. It doesnt matter if production changes the vote, if the fish believe their votes lead to elimination, they will try to fit in with each other. Personally, I dont find that dynamic interesting or engaging to watch. Although I loved Famous House, I didnt like the constant plotting and whispering that a voting element naturally brings with it. For fans of Big Brother, this is apart of the game, but I dont believe that should be the spirit of Fish Tank.

However, one aspect of voting that is great for Fish Tank is the importance of challenges. If the Fish believe immunity is on the line, they will compete. I think this can be replaced with Fish Bucks or cash. But several hundred dollars is too low of a prize.

Another problem that Fish Tank has had in every iteration is that the "best fish" burns out early. This can be due to a lot of factors but usually comes down to feeling ostracized from the group. This was very evident with Cole and Jon. One of the biggest motivators fish have is TTS. I believe they genuinely feed from positive feedback of the TTS. I think all of the fish should be made aware of their endorsements for this reason.

Fans should be able to endorse who they love, as well as who they love to hate. Both of these endorsements will will essentially mean, keep them in the game. Fish with low numbers of endorsements (loved or hated) should be the ones to leave, or forced in challenges amongst eachother to decide who leave. They wont be playing for fishbucks, but rather for a chance to remain.

I think this way of doing things would lead to very natural protagonists and antagonists left in the final act of the show. Letty and Josie was good, TJ and Shinji was not. Imagine how good Burt vs Simbo could have been. Or if their cell encounter was the finale, that would have been amazing.

I genuinely think he will. I think he's the kind of autist that once he gets an idea in his head, he can't get it out until it comes to fruition. He quit drinking and gambling because he decided they were negatively impacting his life. And even up until the last day, he still wouldn't let his theories about the show die, despite being shown over and over that he was wrong. I think that's a schizophrenic trait, but I'm not sure.

That sounds more like textbook autistic hyperfixation, and that can be a powerful tool for self improvement if it's channeled correctly.

Good for him! I still look forward to reading about all of his Past Successful Chrischan doings over in his thread, but I hope that he's able to channel all of this into a Ascendant Burt ending for himself.
If you only spend your time around those wastoid people you can start believing some wild shit. I can understand, especially how he is, why he would get that way. He said he was fine until he was 32, I think. He probably got a bunch of money (he said his business took off during the pandemic, so 4 years ago, it tracks) and started fucking some weird guys and they introduced him to degen circles, he started doing a bunch of stuff and lost his mind. Many such cases.
