Doesn't matter in the least. They do it all the time. They want to settle all pending matters if at all possible rather than still having to fuck around with the same guy in another case.
That's why it's really stupid to commit this kind of dumb unnecessary crime where two different counties have jurisdiction over it including one where you're already facing charges. This isn't like where local cops sometimes outright refuse to do anything for feds, because county DAs are generally on the same time, the state's.
They don't always cooperate but they can, and if you have a prosecuting authority in one county exercising jurisdiction over a defendant in another, the two of them very often will especially if they both have an interest in the proceedings in the other county.
Remember that Nick did whatever weird revenge crimes against Aaron that he did to influence a pending criminal case in Candy Yoshi County. And Nick and Kayla are both witnesses in that ridiculous revenge porn case Aaron has.
These things don't occur in a vacuum.
