The ransomware take was most certainly done by one of the giant Russian/Ukranian ransomware gangs (I don't even need to do research to know that would be the case). UHG paid out like $20 million and got screwed over by the ransomware gang which then split up and got extorted again for more ransom money.

If you're implying he was a part of the ransomware gang then it is unlikely and if he were then he was indirectly responsible for thousands of deaths himself - that ransomware attack seriously fucked over a whole lot of "small people" as well as doctors offices etc.
