it's actually sad, this whole time of year is really important for so many people but it's mainly so for people of european, middle eastern and/or judeochristian origin, even if you're non religious and only celebrate new years', the origin of the date is still in judeochristian history
there's really nothing magical about the time if you come from sub saharan africa, where december was just another month of the year

i'd argue that's not true
the politicians and pretend-activists only care about them for agenda reasons, but there are actual, genuine misguided people who love some kinda fantasy version of the adorable cute charming negro in their head, one who's all squishy and loveable like some kinda steven universe background character, usually a fantasy by folks who don't know any real ones

I'm glad someone else thinks this too. I once got into a back in forth with some groid and he made the claim that white people have more pedos. This is also true of dashikis, the type of shirt/tunic very popular among Africans and black nationalist American blacks. The actual type of shirt was invented by a Dutch company called Vlisco, and was probably based on batik designs from the Dutch colony of Indonesia. For some reason, the Wikipedia article claims it is based on 'shirts worn by Ethiopian women', but I doubt that, and even if it were the case, Ethiopians referred to dark-skinned Africans (the shirts are popular mostly in western Africa) as shanqellas, and enslaved them.
